Flaw in Reliance India Mobile network and its LG handsets

by vivek » Fri Jan 23, 2004 2:34 pm

I got this mail and i reproduce..

For those who have a reliance connection with a LG mobile set!

it has a major flaw!

After u finish your talk, ask the other person to hold the call and not

dissconnect it, Now Remove the battery of ur own set. the call will

be disconnect automatically but in ur phone, the call duration will be

registered as 0:00 secs. and the same reflects at the service origin end.

So no charge for that particular outgoing call.

How many have heard this...?

How will it end?

That 'trick' with the battery doesn't really work. At least not with STD and ISD calls. Eventhough the call charges show an innocent "0" after the call made, they show up in the bills. BIG time...

And moreover, it's not really ethical either. Especially, when you'll have to pay for it :(
