Cause and Solution of Naxalism

I invite you all to share your view and opinions on the following issues related to Naxalites , What are the primary reasons, idealogies of Naxalites ? Of late do you think they have lost their vision, what do you think would be a effective solution for Naxalism.

Naxalism was a very good thing when it got started in Telangana i think it was in Warangal in the late seventies and 80\'s( Initially started in West Bengal but in A.P). Because they have made the poor people especially from the so called weaker castes(ST and SC) realize they are equal to everyone and they can also prosper by dividing the huge chunks of land which belonged to the landlords to poor people by the Robinhood way. But from the past 10 yrs people in the villages are hating them too since it has become commercialized . They are still collecting money from the rich just for there existence they have lost there ideology.THis has happened since people have taken over the caste politics and village people are more smart due to TV and news media i guess.

<br> I am not saying everything is happy in villages there are many poor people but for the present scenario naxalism is not the solution but good employment opportunites in the villages.Why doesnt our government have any good universities,industries etc in villages.If i am a person who is earning like 3000 rupees in a village why will i join naxalites. Naxalism has just become a way of earning there livelihood.

Isnt Naxalism more of a communism ? where the rich are looted and the poor are given ? the rich became richer by way of slavery and the likes of it and then came along the Naxals as saviours to the poor from the Zamindari despotism. It inevitably went out of hand where the Naxals became outdated since the poor are also getting the education and as well as a better earning capacity. Would they want their hard earned monies to be looted and be given to those other brothern whom they left behind now that they moved their camps to the other side ? no ways. So, what is Naxalism ?

Naxalism lost favour not becuase of poor becoming richer, but becuase Naxals lost idealogy. Revenge killings , extortion ,looting and destroying public property became issues of importance to them rather than uplifting poor and giving them justice. Also police attitude towards poor people changed considerably from the early days of naxalism to today. They are more sympathetic towards poor and less towards feudal lords.

Not All Naxlites are the same, I think there is a possiblity of wrong people using the \"Naxals\" name for their own intrests, I dont think naxalism has lot its importance on presence in today sitation, I would say this would exist and will have a strong presence till all the citizend get their basic needs fullfilled .

<br>They are sitl the Indian RobinHoods, as every person does things worng they did it and are trying not to repete them again, they are not a single individual, It is a Institution.

Definitely Naxalism has lost its original cause. Now Naxalism means destroying the govt properties, killing political leaders, threatenging businessmen on the name of naxalism. If Naxalite leaders want justice to poor , why they destroys the public prperties in a village?



I gives two fo the ebst examples here.



1) A Remote village got a telephone exchange after almost 55 years of indepedance. And what happended next?? immediately after 10 days, naxals have destroyed it and the end result. No telephone exchange in that area & no phones & we ares ure govt wont allot second telephone exchange immediately that too after this incident. Who lost here?? who is benefitiing?? Naxals says we are figthing for poor. This is what a Naxalite want??



2) A railway station in the way between Nadikudi & Secunderabad was destroyed by naxals and wts the result of it??

All the passenger trains that will be stopped in that railway station were diverted via warangal and all the trains running in this route were diverted via Warangla for almost 45 days. Is this waht you want ?? Is this what you do for the poor people?? We all know poor perople's main means of travelling to secunderabad is train as the fares are half of that of buses.



So now tell me what is naxalism and wts its main principle today???

I tend to agree with Saradhi. Poor have ceased to become a priority for even the Naxals. Poor have rather become an excuse for the Naxals to continue their unlawful agenda. Violence can never be a solution to any problem - be it war or armed rebellion.
