Issues and Problems facing Telangana

by Pavan » Sat Dec 13, 2003 2:25 pm

I invite you all to give your views and opinions on the follwoing, Problems faced by the people of Telangana. Why is that none of these problems are addressed in 50 years of the state formation ? Does the people of Telangana have any other solution other then demanding for a seperate State ?.

Issues and Problems facing Telangana

by Mayavi Morpheus » Sun Dec 14, 2003 4:56 am

There were two (or is it three) boards on this issue since I registered on this site. I followed all the arguements carefully and came to the conclusion that indeed there is a need for seperate telangana. Following were the reasons presented by various seperatists:

1. Andhraites are bloody racists. They think that they are good looking compared to telanganites, but fools dont realize that their ancestors were raped by british. So we want a seperate state.

2. All heroes in Tollywood are from Andhra. Telanganites are not being allowed to play lead roles in telugu movies.
So a seperate state and hence a seperate movie industry (tellywood) is needed.

3. Andhraites are \'immigrating\' to Hyderabad and multiplying. Thats leaves us telanganites less space to live in, also they are polluting our air.

4. Satyam computers is showing partiality for Kammas in recruitments. All kammas are from Andhra => Satyam is showing partiality to Andhraites. So seperate state is the need of the hour.

5. Andhraites are buying fertile lands from telangana farmers and displacing them from their villages. Since Andhraite are from mars, their culture is different from \'telangana\' culture and thats creating problems in villages where there is a mix population.

Disclaimer: These are not my views. I only posted what other people said on previous boards. I hope this serves as a good starting point for meaningfull discussion.
May the Fries be with you!

Issues and Problems facing Telangana

Hello Mayavi,

Even I read about all this crap that is going on in all other session, Lets not go into the discussions of who is superior and who is weak,I think most of the comments in the prior discssions are fuled by Ego and Monkey Backing, when we are talking about this topic lets not just take Hyderabad in to consideration there are other regions in Telangana which are in dire state, I have seen many villages in this region which does not even have power, and a single Telephone line (According to the postal act I belive all the post office\'s in all villages should have at least one line).
On an average around 30 Villages share a single Government high school and higher education instutions, forget about all the new Engineering collegs (I dont think this would be of much help till the basic education is made avaliable to all).
I think the basic reasons of the backwardness of this reagion

1) Education (At least I think there should be a High School for every 10 Villages and a Higher Education Facality for every 30 Villages)

2) Most importantly I think it will be Water, Water is need for cultivation and drinking .

I think the day we address the above 2 isssues , or at least make a Sinceor effor to address them this issue of seperate state would die, but it is a sad situation to see our esteemed political leaders making a mess of it.

I think neither the Ruling party nor the Opp Parties are real intrested in doing any better for the people of this region, forget about doing any thing new for this region, they cant even implement the existing commitments.

If we as a state cannot give equal basic necessaties for all the citizens of this states, as we could not do it from the past 50 years of the state formation, I think it is better we get a clear commitment for the existing governmet and oppostion on what their plan would be in this regard if they are elected.

Hope we can still keep united Andhra for the years to come.

Issues and Problems facing Telangana

I unequivocally agree with u. All that is required is an issue to disagree on and they\'ll blow it out of proportion and make it an agenda for the elections to gain political mileage.

What is really needed is a dispassionate and unselfish view of the whole problem and an organized approach towards the solution.

Basic amenities are the fundamental right of the people. These are the days where water which is supposed to be nature\'s bounty has to be bought. And is there a gift greater than that of education? Earlier it was just food, cloth and house(roti, kapda aur makan) but today it also education.

Even I hope that ultimately, there will only be one state - Andhra Pradesh, a state for the Telugu speaking as was desired by those who fought towards that cause.
