Is Satya Sai Baba really God?

Yes..but he gives most of his earnings to people. He is also getting major foriegn currency too..
 
 So after weiging 1000s of pros and cons..he is better to be in Puttaparthi

forget abt he is God or not. He is giving health/education and other good facilities to poor people. See the good in others.

If a person is doing good for the poor, that\'s what matters the most. In these days of all pervading misanthropists, any person with even an iota of philanthropy is like an oasis in a desert. I never believed nor have a positive opinion about Swamis/Godfathers. But I must admit that I was very impressed after being once to Puttaparthi. Now, who performs a bypass surgery totally free and that too in a state-of-the-art facility? I am very much aware of all the scandals surrounding, but the amount of social upliftment and welfare brought by this institute negates everything. Moreover, in a country like us where the rich don\'t flinch or hesitate parting with their money for Babas/Swamis or dump in Tirupathi Hundis rather then donate it to the poor or needy, I would welcome more Swamis/Babas. Let their clan increase. At least, through them, the needy get benifits and bare essentials. As far as miracles are concerned, well, it\'s totally upto an individual what to belief and what not to or rather where to draw the line.

aw. nothing more to discuss. but let me put this straight.. i have been to puttaparthi (\'cos i was studying in a particular school which had a allegiance to sai baba).
 its a pretty good place.. and u wont believe the way the whole place is maintained. people get up early, visit the swamy, start their work, meet him again in the evening. this takes place EVERYDAY. loads of free medical service. not even a speck of dust on the streets (inside Prashanti Nilayam) no profanity at all. i don\'t know if those of us who got used to the cosmopolitan life can really enjoy, but for people who wish to have some peace of mind, its a pretty good place.. a little high on the devotion aspect though. and well, he did give a lot of stuff to people. while i shall not make a statement on whether or not he is what he is made up to be on the god thing, i did see him doing some tricks very near me and that is some fine stuff he did.

 I am talking in general people who r participating in this discussion...i just want to say is if u don\'t believe a particular person if don\'t like appreciating him its ok but don\'t even criticize him or her.That is the best help u can do to the society.Just keep qu8.That\'s my sincere request.

Dear King Uncle... I hardly know you, so it would be foolish on my part to comment anything about you.. that is what you are exactly trying to do dud!!!!.. You need to have faith and awarness to feel the almighty.... SHRI Baghwan Satya Sai Baba is certainly a living God, dont have an atom of doubt also in your mind... Keep or atleast think of SAI, you will certainly get peace and you would flourish as a real King with your aunty around!!! Good Luck

Of course everybody has a right to express their opinion. Why should we not criticize something or somebody when we are not convinced ?
 
 C\'mon people, have guts to listen to unfavorable opinions too. Only when you consider all points of view and answer all questions can you claim your point is valid.

If he is doing good deeds let it be but not for fame.So one can tell him as a social worker not a GOD.There are many social workers in India ...Mother Therisa,Baba Amte, also have done a lot to poor and unhealthy.But why he has decalered as him God.If so he is not less than the Babas who has proved fake in recent news.he is making people foolish.

So who has created this whole Universe? who has created sky,earth,moon, sun,forests,planets and all this Universe?Did he created? If so he is god he is only god to the people of Puttaparthi?Why dont u think braod about the creation of this universe?who is feeding all this Universe?how the clouds hanged in the sky witout support?no body amazed abt that but amazed when one see a flight is flying withiout any support.
 Its better to find the right path insted of following blindly

Neeraja... i beg to differ... YES Satya Sai baba might be a good man, a great Philanthropist, a man with a cause, but NO NO NO, he certainly isnt a GOD. For GODs sake please dont live in illusions. God cannot take the form of a man, or for that matter any form. The maximum SAtya Sai Baba can go is to the status of a prophet, a messenger of god, a mahapurush.. but he isnt GOD.. nor is Sai Baba of Shiridi, he was a great yogi, a mahapurush, but not GOD.
 anyways.. any specific doubts are invited. MM where ru? append ur views to mine....

When someone helps us, in our culture, we say \"Devudu laga vachi bathi-kin-charu\", so God or not, people associate a persons deeds with Godly/Saintly deeds and see God in him. It is ones personal belief. As long as the person who is beleiving is not pushing u to develop faith in his God (May be Satya Sai Baba or anybody else) i think there shud be no problem. and when they push, there is a polite way of rejecting/saying \"not interested\". Now, is Jesus a God? or Prophet Mohammed a God? or Mahavir a God? Buddha a God? Guru Nanak a God? these questions are stupid. If ur trying prove that they are not God, then obviously ur foolish. If ur trying to develop faith by asking and clarifying doughts in ur mind, then again, ur foolish, coz faith comes from within.

Neeraja, I really appreciate your feelings but please kindly for GOD\'s sake try to understand the whole scenario here, GOD is ONE who is controlling the whole universe, HE cannot be a man or he never takes any Awtaar of man. Indeed, everything is controlled by HIM. I truely agree with Jhonny\'s post. Just think if GOD (Was/Is) a man then why does he/she die and if he/she die\'s then where will they go.  its clearcut that Jesus and Muhammed(puh) are prophets taht God sent them to give the message (the right path) to the people of Universe with Book.So they are only messengers but not gods.No prophet told that worship me but told to worship Oneness of God....If satya sai is prophet as u think whay he is asking people to worship him?

 I just want to ask you a question: do you guys know the meaning of the word \'Allah\'? It\'s an Arabic word, and it just means God. Dunno if you are aware that there are many Christian Arabs - and whom do they worship? Allah, of course! If an Arab is to adopt Hinduism, who will he worship then? Again, Allah! Bingo, simple aint it?
 
 If you are going to persist quoting incomprehensible verses (begotteth / begotten?????) to prove that your God is greater than someone else\'s God, it is as juvenile as two kids fighting in the street over whose father is stronger. You (and others) can choose to be a part of such a juvenile discussion, or you can choose to move on.
