How dare you say that?

We yindoos are proud of culture. In our culture we dont go out and party at nights. We dont need no night life.

As Neeraja would put it, will u respect ur sister if she parties all night and comes home in the morning? So why do you want to party at night?

AS you are fresh from US of A, I suggest you enroll in any RSS camp or Madarassa depending on ur faith to enlighten urself abt our Rich tradition and culture.

Neeraja, did I miss any points?

Mayavi,

Why should you take this unusually long shot a Neeraja, she has every right to have her own opinion and frankly most of us around here very much respect her balanced though conservative opinions.

You are so well read and knowledgeble, frankly we expected something better than this. Cheer Up mate.

what do you mean by blabbering about indian culture??? EVERY (FOB) fresh-OFF-BOAT Indian in the US spends his weekends either in the brothels in Koti or nudebars in the US.

ABCD, if you are looking for clubs, there are names like Jubilee Hills Club, Secunderabad Club etc. Not sure if they have dance floors, but they are supposed to be well equipped with all kinds of facilities to spend your leisure time. Might cost you some money to get enrolled as a member (in the range of US$4/5K for a life membership)

If you are looking for pubs, there are options like 10 Downing St (TDS as it is popularly known), Under Deck etc. which are better known and I guess are open until 12.00 or so.

And Htl Grand Kakatiya apparently has a 24 hr coffee shop. That\'s nightlife in Hyd for you. Hope this info helps.

Check ur facts abcd..ur probably in the company whichs always at the brothels....probably ur the frog in the well rather then mayavi. i have so many friends in the US who dont do that. either way i believe what mayavi said was only in sarcasm( right mayavi) and they arent his personal opinions as such.
I doubt, therefore i might be

We moved to California several years since and No, we (my family, my friends and my relatives) have not developed any sort of disrespect towards our country. Infact, our being away has made us grow a lot more fond of our country, our city, our people than while we were in India/hyderabad. We kind of took it for granted and not realise the beauty of ones own motherland/roots. I guess, its more about ones culture and the family background and most importantly, ones own convictions towards oneself and his cutlure. Aye mere pyare watan, aye mere bhichide chaman tujh pe dil khurban/tu hi meri aarzo/tuhi meri abhroo tu hi meri jaan..Choomun Loon uski zubaan jispe ayya tera naam.. remember?
My suggestion, lets ignore this guy for a while and he will come to terms and get to behave right, I hope.

Hey ABCD, like others have mentioned earlier, Mayavi was just being sarcastic. We\'ve been visiting these boards for long, so we know. His first message was just one of those tongue-in-cheek responses to the \"It is not in our Indian culture to go dancing/pub hopping \" rhetoric that surfaces at regular intervals on these Boards. I\'m sure it was not meant to offend you.

Coming to your question. T2 at Taj Krishna has a big dance floor when compared to the other places in the city. There\'s Spanish Fly at Asrani. Have heard of Passport at Hotel Ramada. Is said to be ok. There\'s a place called Outswinger, though I dunno where it is :-P My friends have mentioned UnderDeck and 10 Downing Street too, but since I haven\'t been there, I can\'t give u an opinion on them.

Welcome to our city! And I hope u have a nice time here.

It is amazing how a small request for info on night life ignited so much unwanted talk about cultures of ABCD\'s and Non ABCD\'s. Let us be gentle with new boarders and welcome them with open hands. Dear ABCD, be Patient, You will understand this small place fast. I will be away for 15 days to Bombay and B\'lore. When I return we shall go together to explore HYD.
Forget MM and other annoying guys!!!

I agree 100%. Such hostile attitudes dont earn us friends, neither do they bring in the much needed FDIs and so on. Why would a first-time poster understand \'tongue-in-cheek\' references to some past discussions? Is it because the poster stated that he is desi, that we decided to treat him lightly? I\'m not an expert on Hydbdi night life, but I posted my info above, just to show how the question could be answered without demonstrating \'attitude\'.

Btw, ABCD, seems like Jekyl n Hyde has more authentic info, and you may want to take his advise more seriously on the dance clubs / pubs etc.
