Best Movie theatre in twin cities

Recently, I visited Gokul theatre (Erragada). I was surprised with the interiors and the sound system. Good to watch a hit Telugu movie.

The best movie theatre experience is at Manju. I have never been to Hitech. I think it is a small theatre. Any idea about the renovated Venkatramana megaplex?

sangeet is slowly moving on the way downhill...both in quality of movies and in the quality of movie watching experience....i wonder when they plan to undertake the demolition and multiplexing it, as they annunced last yr.

my list based on various factors:

best seats: manju, sensation, hitech, venkatramana, maheshwari, ganga. seats at prasads are good, but leg space is not sufficient.

best audio-visual experience: prasads, sangeet, manju, hitech, ganga, shiva, skyline, anand (i wont count many other popular theaters where they assume good audio means high ear splitting volume like at all main telugu and hindi movie theaters in town)

ample bird watching ;) : prasads, sangeet, anand, hitech

ample car parking: anand, skyline-sterling, prasads, sangeet, sensation, ganga-shiva, shanti

in the last couple of yrs many old theaters have renovated and many new ones have come up. i havent seen them yet and cant comment on their positions in my listing.
wtf? i no longer care if my posts hurt yr feelings

arent u too young to know that?

on topic: yes sachin, sensation is awesome, but they dont know anything abt acoustics. the volume they play is too high. this is the problem with most theatres screening hindi and telugu flicks. they pump the volume really high, especially during songs...whatever hi-fi digital sound effects were intended to be experienced by the audience is lost in all the hi-decibel cacophony.

skyline, sangeet and anand are the only theaters where sound decibels have always been within acceptable limits, allowing the audience to experience the sound distribution as the producer must have intended. now prasadz, manju and hitech have also joined them.

Dunno!

The under-construction building which I was thinking to be a Multiplex, turned out into FMG mall :?

There's a spree of building activity at most places but dunnow hich of 'em is a multiplex! among others, there are rumours of them being Chermas',Big Bazaar, Spencers & whatnot! And in most cases they turn out to be yet another Chaitanya or Narayana

For me it is Prasads all the way. But ofcourse if I go for a movie on 1st day, I would always prefer RTC X Roads. The frenzy and hungama there is mindblowing.

they have variable prices, depending on the show-time and the day of the week. all shows on weekends are priced higher. on the weekdays, tickets for shows starting before 5pm go at a good discount (maybe to attract the broke college folks). this might not apply for brand new 'in-demand' films.
plus there wud be spl offers on some shows/movies on various occassions like for example, Valentines Day (Buy 1 ticket, Get 1 free, etc)
i think they wud follow the same pattern here too.
Angle wrote:i guess, for 60bucks a ticket, prasadz is pretty good
i think PVR too wud stick to Hyderabad standard prices, maybe marginally higher than Prasadz or who knows, maybe a bit lower too. then prasads wud also follow suit!
