pity andhra - may be only state in India where the capital itself (under the garb of cosmo..) doesnt care to speak its language(telugu)... and the telugu food(available at very few places) is named \"andhra food available here\" as if u r in gujarat etc

I think that shows how andhra really promotes the value of \"cultural diversity\". I dont know if you have ever heard anything about \'cultural diversity\'. It\'s really a pity on you if you didn\'t.

Dear Jay,
For me “Cultural Diversity” means co-existing with & enjoying the positives that every culture has to offer AND it doesn’t mean losing or disregarding one’s own cultural identity. If your definition of “cultural diversity” is different (we all know that you know a thing or two about “cultural diversity”), pray let us know that…

Dear Jay,
use this discussion board only when you have a logical argument to present, don\'t just shoot your mouth off.. there will be other forums to do that

my dear raju, please give a second thought to your statement.hyderabad has its own secrets and charms, which cant be explored, with a mindset like that of yours.its cosmopolitan nature is accepted by millions, and you are in a minority of one my dear.i pity your vision and wish you join the mainstream of this unique city.

andhra is nothing but chandra babu\'s bullshit.... sorry for my language. I strongly support for telengana. Telugu people should have their state like everybody else have their own state, look at bihari\'s, marathi\'s,punjabi\'s why not telugu people have a telugu state for them only. Why do they have to merge with Hyderabad. When there are lot of muslims and christians in hyderabad. I think the telugu culture is dying in this process of cultural divercity crap. I totally understand that we are one umberella called india but we should have our own autonomy and own land for specific people.
Thanks

Jay and Nag, its miserable to take it out on each other in a forum like this. Others are neither interested nor are they able to see any logic in either of your statements. Grow up guys!

We are already finding a number of smaller states. Do you want further breaking up of the country? Why not use our resources for better causes than ponder over illogical things like these. Was \'Divide and Rule\' limited to only Britishers???

Vikram\'s argument is a joke. Andhra Pradesh is the first state that was formed in India on the basis of a language... Telugu. That does not mean that Muslims or Christians cannot live in AP. Telugu is a language and Muslim/Christians are to do with religion. Please do not confuse issues...

This city of Hyderabad was invaded by the Marathas, the Marwaries, the Punjabis, the Gujaraties, the Oriayas and the Bengalies, who took refuge here during the Nizam\'s period. They slowly mixed with the local populace and influenced Andhra food and cultural values.

Like you express your prayers in their best form only at a place of worship (temple/mosque/church) and not on the streets, similarly, you Andhra Culture can be expressed in original Andhra areas (and attract tourists at the same time, like Rajhasthan does).

If an opnion poll was conducted all over India, nobody will agree that Hyderabad is the right place to display Andhra Culture. People want to see Hyderabad as a cosmopolitan city with direct flights to London, Paris or Hong Kong.

What\'s wrong if we have some Norhtern influence on Hyderabad? There may be a similar Southern influence in the Northern states. There is a big beautiful world outside Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh. Why alienate ourselves from it?

"Desha bashalandu Telugu lessa\". Anyways, I was wondering what language will the \'Telangana\' people have? Hahaha... What script will they write that language in? Are there any writings or books written that say that this belongs to the so called \'Telangana language\'? Don\'t fight over language or creed. Be happy that you are called a part of Andhra, and the Andhra meals are its part just like Hyderabadi Biriyani is. Hyderabadi Birinyani is called so to let the visitors know that it is the local recipe.

Hi Anil,

I think \'the editing\' is taking away the masala out of posts. My tandoori chicken has turned into a boiled chicken.

This reminds me. We (me and my best friend Dada and two girls), besides other items, ordered a duck at a Chinese restaurant in LA. The duck looked pretty decent in the menu pictures (you know how they design menus - very attractive). So when the waitress brought the duck it was totally different. So, Dada goes WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DUCK!!!

Now a Jingo will frown at you for preferring Duck in a Chinki restaurant over butter chicken available in the myriad Artesia kitchens.
May the Fries be with you!
