Are women in India secure?

Hi guys… firstly sorry for not replying (I’m sure no one cares but) I had some hardware glitch……. Ok I’m starting this board cos things started to get out of topic in the previous one. Yes… the question : “Do women in India feel secure”. Anil I guess u must look at things from a different perspective. Think about this from a women’s perspective- u’ve gotta go to a market. How do u feel when every lame male is gaping at u wanting to have a grab of u (like stray dogs)…. [I’m sure theres’ something wrong with the tense I’m using but pls bare with me I’m not that perf’ in English] do women feel embarrassed at this or do they think that they r special cos every one’s lokking???? I’m sure it’s ‘embarrassment’….. A male is attracted to a female and vice versa… that’s’ the way God created… but I guess there’s a limit for every thing. Any one from India (currently)….. what does it feel like when u take ur sister out and every where u go u find numerous pervs. I’m sure every must have experienced this. I don’t give a shit if things like this happen in USA or the rest of the world but all I know is that it is happening in India which I ( no one )tolerates. I was in PuttaParthi once where I found this auto fellow passing obscene remarks to a lady in telugu. That lady was an Indian (from the North – apparently she couldn’t understand the language)….. how is a person going to respect another national when he can’t respect someone from his own country??? (in reference to the reality shoe I mentioned in another board). And u guys just want to nag me for all my postings ‘cos I know hat’s what discussion boards r all about but pls guys take some time out and contemplate one why I am saying this. At the end of he day every one speaks from his heart right, what they feel or experience. Sitting in the USA and judging thing happening home is not fair. Do u know this incident where a foreign national was raped and murdered in PuttaParthi ( a devotional place ). If u guys feel all this is not that bad then I guess it’s time u returned to India and started to live here…… the handicapped girl who was raped on a moving train in Mumbai is still a controversy. A girl was raped when she got down in a railway station…. She was sliced up into pieced and dumped into cardboard boxes for disposal…… (and women in the boards ?? what do u think???)

Sunny, america is free sex and sexual revoluted country but there to the scenes which you mentioned(rape) etc will happen. India is still to develop and ours is a developing country. So, that due to ignorance, illiteracy etc. The things happen rarely in our country. Dont try to point out our mother land try to discover in U.S.A etc countries you will be getting more stuff.

Every country has its loop-holes, and likewise our country too has its own. In my view, man has had an upperhand on women since his birth. It depends on women, whether they are secure or not. Not only in India but throughout the world.
