Education in our State

J. Bhargavi, a student studying in 9th class, killed herself. The cause is that she wanted to study, and for that reason she was staying away from her parents in the B C \"A\" hostel, where the hostel matron\'s behaviour caused her to commit suicide. One the one side the janmabhoomi program is going on, the CM wants to educate children, and for their well-being and better education he is implementing good schemes and is even distributing cycles for the girls, and on the other side incidents like this happen, which really hurt the government and the parents and children too...

Hi MRK, just because one Bhagrithy killed herself, we can\'t conclude about the education in our state... AP is one of the best states for providing education, compared to other states. Let\'s take the positive side, see the number of IIT and medical aspirants... They are from AP only. See the crowds here in the TTS offices for USA visas, and then see the crowds in the Blore TTS office for US visas, that will give you an indication of which state has the big crowd... That\'s because of our education system...

There are suicides by school children, but that\'s not only in our state, it\'s everywhere. So please do not generalise just because of fringe incidents...

Very sad for that girl! It is important for us to provide a way for girls like her to be able to communicate her situation to people who can help. I do not know the details - but if only, in these 55 yrs, we had started and built a good police force with an understanding of public service, we would have avoided this and many such situations.

No Neeraja - today when i was going through the newspaper i found that item, and it hurt me a lot. Not only that - if you go through today\'s newspaper you can find two girls committed suicide. One of harrassment and the other due to poverty. The girl that I mentioned in my message - if you read about her, definitely you will also be moved by the incident. Her mother and sister are working as daily labourers. Her brother is working somewhere. Her father is dead. The warden wanted to send that girl away from the hostel. Firstly she thought of leaving the hostel and getting back to her mother, but thinking about their poverty and she didn\'t wanted to stop her studies. That\'s why she committed suicide. Another thing is that that girl asked the warden to help in that whatever the amount of food the government is giving for them reaches them. For that cause, she was badly hurt by her warden. If you want to see more about that girl, see the site http://www.eenadu.net.

An India soul doesnt have a value, not the soldiers dying for the country, not those who are dying in rail accidents, not the ones who are dying of draught.............I dont know when will the time come, when the whole country will take the streets for an unnatural death. ATTITUDE PROBLEM.

I like to go against ur view neerja as our social system is changing colours each day and to find more opportunities and solace is like moving in the desert. Remember a piece of news that ran last month on news channels where Indian athletes are selling tea in ther dhaba due to government negligence towrds them. Thus i like to conclude that we are going too materialistic and have forgotten the main cause for our existence...
