Hyd'bad's own radio city FM

I remember the days when I used to struggle with the old, big radio set to tune into BBC and Deutsche Radio. Used to enjoy tuning it, putting one ear near the speaker and one hand always on the tuner. The culture of listening to radio is long gone, I think. There used to be certain good programs on the local radio. Probably the barber shops and the Irani chai wallas and a few others are the only places these days. Or did they turn to TVs, too? Heard Radio Mirchi is fine - if a good one kicks off, people can pass time listening to news/music etc. while travelling long distances.

It is a sorrow that Hyderabad doesn\'t have private FM Channels.
Even cities like Ahmedabad have Radio Mirchi which is a good entertaining audio channel. I remember those days when I was studying in 9th class in the year 1983. I am reminded of the headmaster of my school who inspired me to hear BBC world news daily through his Philips radio. In later days, I purchased a new Philips radio in my village and started hearing BBC world news in almost clear voice in short wawe channels - 16, 19 meters. Though I am still seeing BBC programmes with my new Philips flat TV, nowadays the satisfaction of the olden days is not there. I am one of those guys still hearing the radio.

Though I am a hardcore hyderabadee, i dwell both @ hyd and b\'lore... i really wonder if we get FM, should be within the city. But damn, i dun believe if ur so called city FM is within the city itself.. i mean, what we hear ain\'t FM but like some ordinary radio channel. Y dun Hyd get somethin like \"Radio Mirchi\" which we get on English all the day.. we can get sponsors as they r gettin.. I suggest we make all hydeez aware of western music.. then. hyd can handle concerts too.. no more to be chagrined b4 some hyperpseude cities.
