I remember the days when I used to struggle with the old, big radio set to tune into BBC and Deutsche Radio. Used to enjoy tuning it, putting one ear near the speaker and one hand always on the tuner. The culture of listening to radio is long gone, I think. There used to be certain good programs on the local radio. Probably the barber shops and the Irani chai wallas and a few others are the only places these days. Or did they turn to TVs, too? Heard Radio Mirchi is fine - if a good one kicks off, people can pass time listening to news/music etc. while travelling long distances.
