Is there anything called responsible drinking?

a lot of my friends say that drinking in parties reflects our responsiblity towards the society. is there any thing like responsible drinking is the question that ponders me. i would like to know what the most of the hyderabadis think about responsible drinking and smoking. i would like to invite responses from all the ladies and gentlemen of hyderabad. this would help me in taking a decision whether to quit or not

Now a days partying has become a professional job. More entertainment companies are coming up. Especially in mass cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. But you should note the bad effects of all parties. MY EXPERIENCE... Last month on 31st Dec I went to the new year party. Collided with a girl. Unnecessary scuffle hoe. Briefly after that (next few days) we have to host a party. I entertained everybody. Scotches - Blenders Pride, 100 Pipers, Something Special, Teachers, Bacardi, Royal Challenge, Smirnoff, not to miss Oldmonk, all were moving around. Alas in the final round I consumed almost 3 larges (60*3 =180ml) with good soda. Unfortunately it was in very quick succession and I started loosing my sences very quickly. I fell down. I could not take eat the nicely displayed variety of food (all varieties of chicken, lamb course, different snacks). I almost collapsed. Next morning BOSS shouted at me that I behaved like an ASS (In fact I could not attend my duty in time). That\'s OK. Another foul mouthed BOSS told me that if I were to go on this way I will loose my wife to different man one day. Enough men, Enough. I am bleeding from my heart for taking that statement. I was totally helpless to take revenge. All because of what? Alcohol. Afterthat beleive me I left alcohol. Now I am not even taking beer. I am fortunate to say I am loosing my weight also. So yougsters be careful in life. otherwise u may also face the insult like me (born to gentle parents) . See the latest India today cover story. In 20 years of life u may get hypertension. In thirtees u may get depression. In early forties u may get Myocardial infaction. Is it all required??? My sharings only with fellow debators. To do

how many of ur firends say ....go home and study/ dont waste ur time etc etc ....and talk about harsh realities of life....first, define ur friends(hip) and then talk abt whether u want to follow what they say.....

drinking in moderation and only with friends is ok.i have been drinking since 1976.i passed out once in 1979 because i was not familiar with the drink.never since then.always drink scotch two or at the most three drinks with good friends.gives me some relaxation and talk freely.drinking heavily and hangover next day takes the fun off drinking.no smoking for me.two drinks is actually good for the heart.that\'s what my doctor friend says.

The ? is genuine, so genuine like,\"hey ! can I jump off the cliff responsibly, huh.? i want to depend my jumping off on your suggestions\". awww, come on.. its too cool to jump off the clif, it does seem to show u r THE MAN, inspite of the bruises, if u r lucky; and then some broken bones if u r not that lucky, and if ur family is totally unlucky, and IF YOU ARE, YOU loose your life, slowly but surely. jumping off the cliff is a little less dangerous, y\'kno.

There is always fear of excess alcohol.
If u follow strict rules how to control u r self I think there is no harm with drinks.
I my self a regular drinker never was out of tune. I behave well and so far no adverse remarks from all I know. Control is the matter.
