How to start a groceries shop?

what are the things to do....abt procedures/formalities to get a licence, should we show any bank balance, should we have a shop space before applying for licence. i am sick of wasting money on coaching centers and searching for a job....finally i realized that my intelligence on technical stuff deosnt permit me to get a job.....hope to be independent.

Where you want to open a grocery store, in India or abroad. Every place have different govt. policies.

I am not Vivek or Kishore, I am Hyderabadi live in US. Which I mostly read everyone comments. I used to own a grocery store in US. I thought may I can help him give some info.
