Display at Salarjung Museum

by sri Raghavendra » Sun Jan 05, 2003 5:59 pm

Recently I went to Salarjung museum. I happened to see the section(Painted wooden figures-French Africa-late 19th century)in front of gate no27. there was a fine display of a black(colored) gentleman in very fine suit reading old EMPLOYMENT NEWS. I got shocked to see the crukedness of the idea.Fine display is reading the old employment news????2)secondly at French section the painting of a young nude french girl (LA source COPY OF INGRES) is good. But any person loses his sences atleast for a second is really not with artistic minded. How about you???
