Hi L. Sik., yes, in my opinion commercialization leads to downgrade of education in the majority of such cases. Especially in the last 10-20 yrs in India - with all the schools, colleges, engg/medical colleges etc. that sprang up. But there are a few cases in India too where high fees are positively associated with good education. One example is BITS, Pilani, an engg college. It\'s rated alongside the IIT\'s. In the USA, some of the most reputed colleges charge prohibitively high fees. The people (management) who charge high fees are accountable to the students. If only the ppl who set up educational institutes realise that imparting education at any level is a very noble service, and are sincere in their duty.
