age old custom.that is best. better than todays boyfriend girlfriend culture. because no destruction of family values in age old customs.

See if you look at it more practically, there are some things about age old customs which can still be applied in today\'s modern set up. And there are new mindsets/thought processes which can replace some obsolete customs. So, it\'s a matter of objectively picking and choosing so as to have the best of both worlds! Wot say?

custom is a unwritten law, which is followed by a set of ppl at a given time....., Mr.sikandarabadi, be sure as to which customs u are talkin about......there is some thing called a consensus-ad-idem afterall...

Are you talking about present day people following custom(past) then your are in contradiction unto your self. If you mean present \"custom\", then there is no such thing. From your statement it looks like custom is transitory (\'at a given time\'). Rationalness transcends temporal limitations of custom.

What I was refering to was the traditional habit(s)/custom(s), some of which may not be applicable to present day society. Thus, what is the rationale for observing them.
