Got a visa reject at the American consulate Chennai??

do you think the american consulate issues visas to the deserving candidates? do you approve of their system of decision making? do indians aspiring highger studies in US need be treated like the way they do?

cant understand why we flock there and stoop down without getting a visa, there is nothing great about them, indian education is the best, the best cream of usa professionals are indian educated people... why waste your energy and money in usa apart from that getting humilated there.

will you get a chance to have iddlies eating with your hands wearing a dhoti in USA?? you have restrictions for everything... Indian is indian in every aspect...

No religious fanatiscism - for us, it is a way of life..I live and work in Dubai and i don\'t know what you are talking about. Things are more liberal here. Don\'t be in false hopes regarding job scopes...I mean, hello, the bubble\'s burst...no dollar dreams..its just petrol pumps/supermarkets et all..plus if u do get a job, you have the excess baggage of taxation, credit limits, etc...it\'s better we Indians stop living these false dreams...look at UK..they have virtually shunted out Indian IT people...

In one of the previous pages one gentleman has neatly compared Dubai Vs other areas in middleeast. Dubai is a nice place I agree. But uncleSam is a cool place in comparision my dear:)

I think thats bull. You can't make a generalised statement like that. In fact, there are others far more intelligent and hard working than Indians.

Yes of course. There are enough Indian restaurants here, and the US is one place where you can wear or do anything you want. Why don't you wear a dhoti and go to Burgerola near Sangeet crossroads in Secunderabad? You'll have a real feel of what you are talking about.

It was the only place where we(As ib people of hyd) could get a good burger.Now there are many places.

Thats a fast food centre many people go to. Sorry about not keeping track with the latest names; I left India in 2000, so I'm not sure of other names

First about the american way of life. Well its a point thats been discussed to death, is it better to go to the states or stay back in 'mera bharat mahan'. Since this is a 2 yr old tread and people arent actually discussing the topic actively, i would just say its just a matter of personal choice.

And regarding the second issue of life in 2 yr old threads, i think there is a lone crusader called "rocket ramakrishna" who is some sort of a revivalist.

. he is the one bringing them all back to life again.
