Bollywood seems to be heading in only one direction and that seems down. apart from all the hype we generate in our own country about our impact int the foreign market, the performance of so many movies at the box-office is next to depressing. How does one explain the 90% of all the movies made by our ppl has lost or marginally managed to make some money? However it seems the Powers that be have taken a serious note of the events. Recently there was a Meeting of all the prominent filmakers as to what to do with the present situation. Just imagine the scenario in which so much of money, man power and politics is being devoted into an industry which is not repaying any kind of dividends at all!!! ---(next para!!)---In the back-drop of all the \'dents\' we seem to make in theinternational market, i feel we are headed at some sorts of intersection. Film-makers can now decide whether they want to appease the Foreign market and make some money (much like what subhash Ghai has been attempting to do) and reap critical acclaim(much unlike Subhash Ghai!).The second option is that we conitnue to do what we are good at. We continue with our song-and-dnace routine and gradually work out some way to firmly postion ourslef into our own turf. Till then i just hope that our film-makers realise that they can\'t appease indians with candy floss romance, lots of bloody action sequences,slap-stick comedy, lewd songs all combined in one movie and claim it to entertainment for the whole family!!
