Same story?? - You jumped the gun mate! obviously you dont have a great deal of knowledge of cricket! The match is not won or lost until the last run has been scored or the last wicket taken. Well done India. A memorable win! Finally, it seems, we have got the right combination. The youngsters (Yuvraj and Kaif) have done exceedingly well in this series. We can start dreaming of World Cup glory!

Cheers to Mohammed Kaif and Yuvraj, otherwise top order batsman decided to give the match to England in silver plate.

Top order??? - I thought Ganguly and Sehwaag gave India a flying start! Their contribution was also a key factor in India\'s eventual victory.

Udhas bhai, poora match fix huva ya nahin yeh to bolna mushkil hai, magar lagta hai Bhai log (apney dubai waley) chotay (tendu) ko zaroor fix karey hain. Jis tarah sey woh apni wicket pheka, isse to andaaza yahi laga. Kyoon ke, maal jo hai woh result par itna nahin laga tha, tendu ke pachaas ya sau baninge yah nahin pey thee poori betting.

Kulcha bhai: Board ku jagna chahiye aur in-depth enquiry honee chachiye final match kee aur har individual player key performance kee. I think Tendu wants India to loose the match coz he don\'t want the credit goes to the captain for winning the final.

Hmmm..Could be. I was surprised by his approach on that day. Its one thing to lose your wicket to a good delivery, but he attitude was baffling. Shastry did his best to cover it up, but Harsha Bhogle was of the opinion that Tendu\'s mind was not at Lord\'s. Mongia got a bad decision, about time David Shepard takes a retirement. He has made horrendous decisions in this series. A lot of politics goes into Indian Cricket and I guess its the media and senior cricketers who are responsible for this mess. They keep on ranting about captain\'s abilities etc and who should replace him...that puts a lot of pressure on a captain and gives teeth to other players. Take the example of Australia, England and South Africa. Once the captain is announced, everybody rallies behind him and that nips in the bud of any aspiration a senior or junior cricketer has to lead the team. Lets hope, for the good of indian cricket, the captaincy issue is laid to rest and Sourav is allowed to lead until the next world cup.

Maharatas never play for the country they always play for themself. Its allways whenever Gaveskar played a good inning the match is drawn (coz he played for his record) and whenever Vishwanat played a good inning Indian always won the match coz Vishwanath played at the right time and not for records.

right said fred! I have always maintained that...Gavaskar, Shastri,Vengsarkar---all were selfish players.Thy played for personal records--ALWAYS. And now these %$#%^&%%$#@#$ have influenced Tendlya so that has also started playing for records. do you all remember the sachin of the days whn he used to blast everything in sight? of late, he has curbed
his strokeplay under the direct influence of Shastri/ Gavaskar. In any case I don\'t recollect sachin having won us any match because of his \"genius\" the ONLY match that comes to mind is the sandstorm one at Sharjah. (Incidentally that innings didnt win us a match as well---just qualified in the finals) I don\'t know how many have noticed but when sachin is naring a centrury he goes into a shell even if slog overs are on and we need runs desparately
This is so unlike tainted players like Azhar, Jaddu, Robin who used to throw their bats even when nearing landmarks like 50s and 100s....Sidhu said something very relevant the other day--\"what\'s the use of having individual geniuses in the team when all they do is pile up personal records?\"

Playing for personal records or for the country is a debatable issue. Runs scored by an individual do add to the team\'s total! - Anyway, one reason why Tendulkar is no longer the master blaster could be due to his age. With growing years, the reflexes and footwork too slow down. We have to give the benefit of doubt to an all time great batsman. The whole nation felt badly let down by his performance in the recent finals. BTW, he scored a century in the final too, I mean the one after sandstorm at Sharjah. I would definitely rank that hundred by Tendulkar as one of best I\'ve seen in many many years of watching and following cricket. In those days, he was a sheer pleasure to watch.

Hi every body, we have to appreciate kaif and yuvaraj for their commendable innings. Ganguly played well but i think the way he got out was unnecessary at that stage. He would have kept cool after failing to get boundary for 3 consecutive balls. Second mistake was done by tendulkar when he played that shot ,which got him out.it was not necessary to go for big shots when already 4 wickets had gone . kaif and yuvaraj played without any pressure and shown how to bat under such circumstances. they not only taught a lesson to senior players of india they also shown how to bat under such circumstances to world. SO EVERY THING IS POSSIBLE IN THIS WORLD JUST U NEED TO KEEP COOL HEAD AND MOVE TOWARDS AIM WITHOUT LOSING TEMPER.

bhaimiya, udhas is right in commenting, \"all matches are fixed\". george bernard shaw rightly said \"11 fools playing & 11,000 fools watching\". whatever cricket i used to watch before \"fixing scandals\" is now replaced by that dynamic game of 90 minutes ,which i still prefer to call \"football\",though my friends across atlantic prefer to call it \"soccer\".
