Random Ramblings of a Psychotic Mind

by Aishwarya » Sat Jan 20, 2007 1:11 am

I have always fantasized myself to be a writer. But as with all otehr fantasies, I realize that I never had the knack of being a good writer. My ability to type a sentance without making a typo is worse than a single cellular organism trying to comment on Adi Sankaracharya's Advaita philosophy. What a damp squib! But that's the most trivial of inabilities that I have. My english vocab sucks. My telugu vocab is good, but can't read or write telugu. Other languages that I know are not usually used for conversations, if used, would be interpreated as censored curses. I just pointed out few of my shortcomings, there are more, but I am not that humble.

Okay here is the list of things that I want to write about, and haven't written (but will one day write, sigh):

1. Tarzan's clothing: Contemporary fashion or common sense?

2. Why women are more evolved than men: Theory of a pschosocial animal.

3. Why is the way to man's heart is through his stomach: Anatomical anamolies in human beings.

4. Of food, loose motions and love: A gastroenterical approach to love.

5. How to use adjectives in the wrongest way possible: Mythologically Insane?

6. What is life? Burp, blah, glug, glug, glug....

7. Lfie withuot tpyos!

8. Puss, hair, skin and spit: Exotic Recipes!

9. Being president of USA: Ten most useless things to do.

10. How to Self Hypnosize and then get out of it.

11. What happens when you chew an anaesthetic.

12. How to crash computers: sadistic computing.

13. Batman, Superman and Spiderman: The best underwear-pant combination

14. Stripclubs and world economy: Huh?

15. Being allergic to oxygen: Nose, most intelligent organ of all.

16. Constipation, loose motion, excessive fatulence: How to have fun when you are ill! ...

The list is endless and filled with endless possibilities of writing about some very unique and interesting perspectives about life and other things. I now request you all to take a few seconds off your "busy" schedule and silently wish in your heart that this desire of mine comes true, sooner than later. If it does, I promise to compile these articles and publish a book titled, " Random ramblings of a psychotic mind" and dedicate it to all of you. It will also have a references section as well. Those of you who have published some papers, make sure you pay close attention to this section. Your article will definetly be referenced here.

With heartfelt gratitude!!!

very interesting choice of topics. I would like to add another one to your list for when you have the time -

Idiosyncracies of English: why do we drive in the parkway and park in the driveway?

I wish English wasn't a language. II wish some other universal language. I wish, writing and conversing well in English wasn't a symbol of intelligence. Sigh. All this is because, I suck at English. I am sure there are many who fall in my category... Could you please come out of your shells, and not be afraid of admitting the abovementioned.... There is nothing wrong.. Those who think it is wrong are DUMB.

From what I read, your English seems pretty good to me. Unlike in India, I doubt if a good grasp of english is considered a barometer of intelligence elsewhere in the world. And eventually its the substance that matters I believe. Without it, even the use of most rare words from Webster's cannot make one intelligent.
