Should India be renamed "United States of India" ?!

I think India should be renamed United States of India. Power and Money should be spread democratically among various states. Various states have their own languages and cultures, some good and some bad, which do affect on the performance of those states. Example Bihar, Orissa, Assam...So why should other states suffer?
Any takers?
