DIVORCE...a Saviour...or..a Failure??

by uzma » Tue Nov 29, 2005 1:22 pm

Let us talk abut ..the much talk abut ,but not realy much thought of....a lingering truth... somewhere in all minds ... yet a scilent thought ....called DIVORCE..!

Is divorce a personal failure , or family failure?

When Karishma and Sanjay patched up , everyone felt relieved...

Is it so messy? Are both left with broken self esteem? What the hell it is???

Divorce is also boon to those who found happiness for themselves...many have found peace and moved on...others have taken it personaly , burnt in their own fir of anger , Well .....Its failure? or a loss worst than death?..... raw deal or best bargain!.......

A story...

at the end did they find happiness of living......?

I invite u to share ur thoughts...experience ..abut the 'not-anymore-taboo-word' called Divorce.....

my thots on divorce? well...it is necessary when it looks impossible to hold the marriage together for any reason whatsoever. it is a painful process, especially if there are children. but it is a 100 times better than suffering a bad marriage for the sake of "society"

Is this true -

Kaun Banega Crore Pati claims its first victim!

New Delhi-

The tremendously popular TV game show,"Kaun Banega Crore Pati" claimed

its victim in the capital. Mrs Neelam Arora, utterly disgusted with her

husband's inability to answer the simplest of questions, divorced him

immediately after the end of the show. The entire event has shaken the

capital to the core and has left the local populace in a state of daze.

Mrs Neelam Arora, when contacted, was all fire and fury. "How can you

stay married to a dumb brick who cannot answer even the first 1000

Rupees question? Even a 6 year old can answer such questions, but my

husband, I mean, my ex-husband *%$#@&*(unprintable) couldn't do it.

Diverse Divorce

How many times have children come to you with a tale about their divorce or separation situation and you wished you had a story that they could relate to? Diverse Divorce***** doesn't have every situation but it does have eighteen different stories that are based on situations presented to the author in her role as school counselor.

The program includes eight stories for young elementary-age children and ten for older elementary/middle school-age children. Each story focuses on a different marital situation and includes suggested questions for post-story discussion. The stories for younger students also include a related activity.

Each story stands on its own and can be reproduced for children to read. Included titles and topics are:

Weddings Are Fishy Business--(Anxiety Over A Remarriage)

As Easy As Mashed Potatoes--(Financial Difficulties Forcing A Lifestyle Change)

Chick Flicks And Porch Swings--(Coping With Parents' New Relationships)

Nobody's Fault--(Discovery Of An Extramarital Affair)

Cinnamon Toast And Tears--(Concern Over Whether Fighting Will Lead To A Divorce)

Fathers And Other Strangers--(An Absentee Father Unexpectedly Comes Into A Child's Life)

Diverse Divorce prepares you to reach children of divorce through literature and discussion. The stories make it easier for the children to open up and discuss their own personal situations.

When a child comes into your office with a situation similar to one of the stories in this book, you'll be glad you have Diverse Divorce on your shelf. ...

DIVORCE defies the natural time tested institution of marriage in many ways than one?

Our social and cultural perceptions and interpretations on DIVORCE vary from region to region in the world.

In your world - our world - the sub-continent - India/Pakistan - it is a LIFE INSURANCE of SHAME and humility for both the parents and the affected couple. My heart bleeds for the childrn who are invariably affected by the drama of a household that is undergoing this drana, or has already gone through the drama!

All starts with taking responsibility for your actions. And the this applys to both husband and wife.

Divorce is a means of Controlling the Matrimonial Damage and allowing the affected parents and children to find sanity in their lives and 'move on'?? Its a tough call to make - but some people just dont see it that way.
