continental food for cheap

by vakibs » Wed Jan 04, 2006 8:00 pm

hi guys

do you know any outlets that serve good salads, sausages, grilled chicken etc.. for affordable prices ? You know.. those quiet joints that can be found in Mumbai and Goa ? Are there any such eateries here in Hyd? Especially those ones run by Anglo Indians ? Where they don't Indianise the food with all the spices ?

I know a few places like fusion9 and the star hotels, But they burn a hole in the pocket. Even Subway is a little on the expensive side. I am looking for places where a meal costs around 100 bucks.

I'll make one contribution.

The chicken salad in Barista Creme is pretty good ! And it costs just 65 bucks. :)

there's a tiny joint adjacent to Pizza Hut in banjara hills, that specializes in conti food. i heard its quite good. unfortunately i forgot its name ('i think 'Flames' but not sure).

also try OFEN in rd#7 Banjara hills. its a bakery specializing in european confectionary n baked items, but also serve conti food in their roof garden restaurant.

i heard that "Kshetra" in Khairatabad (behind EENADU) serves good vegetarian conti fare.

TDS pub and Little Penang (road#12) also serve pretty decent conti cuisine.

To add to the list above:

1. Cafe One adjacent to One Stores at Secunderbad (in Chiran fort lane).

2. Cafe Odyssey on Punjagutta also has a few choices.

@CAD: though Little Penang serves good food, it is pretty expensive.

Here down under all food is made for the Aussie Pallette.

So when we go to eat at Indian places the food is bland, but we get Kingfisher 8)

But I reckon food is best eaten where it is made. Indian food is best in India. So if you want to eat continental food, go to continent
