Long time no posts me. What better place to return than on a booze thread? :D

Am not much of a drinker, mostly because I do not like to drink much when I have to drive and I have not found anyone yet who cared for me enough to give me a ride home *sigh*. Here are some of my favourites.

1. Rum and coke - Nothing, repeat, nothing, beats this. If you ain't fond of this, give up drinking. You just don't have the taste for alcohol, and the chicks don't get impressed simply because you have a glass in your hand anyway. So why go through the ordeal?

2. Scotch on the rocks - There just has to be ice. Some things are meant to be had cold. Period.

3. Gin and lime - It is Blue Ribband for me all the way. Vodka drinkers keep away. There is just something unnatural about the drink. Anything the Bolshs like has got to be unreal.

That's about it. Do enjoy beer during lunch sometimes but otherwise beer is a strict no no. As far as those silly things called breezers (Hyuk! How could anyone gulp something like these down?) and cocktails go, puhlease! I am neither a neo-rich with zero class nor a sixteen year old woman.

1.) Jack Daniel on the Rocks... Amazing. The best I have ever tasted. JW sucks.

2.) Old Monk Rum, with Coke.... Whoaaaa...

3.) Bacardi White Rum with Sprite.

4.) Knock Out Beer. The original Beer.

1) Single Malt - on the rocks - Smoothest and classiest

2) Scotch - On the rocks - Very smooth - the best drink when driving back

3) Whisky - On the rocks - primarily scotch blends

4) Vodka - with Lime Cordial and a little salt... dehydrates a lot

5) White Rum - On the rocks - gives a headache

6) Bloody Mary - best when you want to blow ur bosses' MONEY

7) Draught Beer (fresh and light...)

8) Red Wine (just a glass & hommade...)

9) Champagne - have it sometimes only because of the hype/ occasion...

10) Bottled Beer - the stronger.... the yuckier

I never like to mix carbonated drinks with Alcohol - spirits are bad enough, i don't need the gas too...

by what's your's?? » Mon Oct 24, 2005 8:56 pm

still on the same topic..

/+/ Whisky

J&B is good, but when I was in Dubai enroute to Hyd, I bought 2 bottles of JW redlabel, nice and not so expensive.

/+/ Vodka

I liked the Polish brand Bison, they put a spl. kind of grass(not the smoking one ;) ) which gives it a great taste.

/+/ Cognac

Hennessy is great, for those who live(d) in france, try the crepe(pan cake) with Hennessy and it's amazing.(I know we are not talking about food...but can't resist!!)

Or try the homemade Cognac from the Normandie region of France

/+/Beer

any thing is good, but my fav. is Hoegaarden. check the link

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/83/248/

/+/C-tail

Mojito (pronounced as MoHiTo) and Capriniha

let me know if you want the instructions :)))

Hey Sachin, you ever had Gold Schlock??

A friend of mine was telling me about this drink where they actually put gold filings in the drink which when drunk, cut small slits into the oesophagus so that the drink gets absorbed directly into the blood stream to give the extra "kick"
Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

Alright...Jagermeifter is a strong drink, its not available in India and probably never will..I used to drink that shit in college..It was originally made for hunters....It tastes good..but usually a shot so the taste never really mattered...I used to drink Jagermeifter so much, the liquor store where I used to buy it from when I was in college, gave me a free Jagemeifter cap..which I still have to this day..

And....Goldshlock....the name...Gold....is because they put little tiny flakes of gold in the bottle, maybe there was once a purpose for that but...I dont know why and I dont know what the purpose for it is ..but it gets you extremely bent (drunk)....also probably will never be available in India..

Jungle looks like you had best of both the worlds buddy.... gud goin....

Yest I went to a pub and to my surprise found that those guys hold the record for serving most varieties of beers available commercially. I guess around 1100. Its like any normal american restaurant but the place rocks jus coz of the atmoshpere u cld see beers on the interiorsof the walls.... owned and managed wholly by a family.

My dad quit "active" drinking after he joined Art of Living a few years ago. But I make sure the Alcohol Industry doesn't lose any bussiness due to my family. Hence I drink.

I dont know what your point is CAD but my father was never such a heavy drinker so as to have an impact on the Alcohol Industry.

Hence the government doesnt have any high expectations on me.
