Why is the rock Scene in the city not as good as in Bangalore, Mumbai or Delhi?

You see dude, Hyderabad is still in a developing phase, people here are not very liberal or openminded. Parents dont encourage rock culture and moreover except for a few groups no one here appreciates rock.They are more in indipop remixes and stuff.

It might take time, but it surely will shine someday.

The Rock scene is pathetic not just in HYD, its throughout india. Partly because:



1. Indian Youth identify themselves with black music more and speak the same lingo. Niggers won't listen to songs any more, its all the BASS they want

2. Rock Music according to many is limited to MLTR (They themselves say that they are a pop band), Bon Jovi (take the words LOVE, YOU, ME, BED, ROSES, HE, LIFE and arange them in as many combinations as possible and you get a new song and an album, Bryan Adams (same philosophy as Bon Jovi) and at the most DEF LEPPARD. Most DJs play these tracks as rock songs and the message to budding rockers is Rock is nothing but Girlie music. There have been instances in HYD when some morons were wearing Iron Maiden T-shirts and grooving on 50-cent. I guess its the same in all the cities.

3. Weed has given way to E

4. Ther has been an invasion of people from few states that mass-produce Bhangra progigies and these people are seen in all urban areas wearing fake labled clothes and dancing in pubs even for FLOYD songs (trust me, me and my wife have taken pictures of these morins)



My advice to one all, wanna rock? relocate to the West!

u shud see the delhi clubs...they play only bhangra nearly all the time and the morons do the bhangra even to (so-called...?) "rock" and hiphop numbers!

There's a place alled Easy rider, opposite Taj Banjara. Probable one of the few places where they play Classic rock and nothing besides. DJs over there r pretty cool - they'll play ur request as long as it it fits within the strict definition of classic rock. Probably one of the few places rock is still alive & kickin'.
