Shama wrote:Hi,
I am looking for a place to buy a few salwars/churidhar's etc in the
range of 1000-1500.

What shops have good stuff?
I am near Srinagar Colony.

Shama,

Try getting your hands on the Shop etc supplement which comes with the Deccan Chronicle newspaper every wednesday. It contains a list of some interesting shops and you can locate some which are close to your residence. Koti/Abids are good but if anything brings you to Sec'bad, Parklane and General Bazar are good places to shop. Try out Taruni,Rithika,95 Parklane and Ladies choice in these areas. You can choose from either stitched/unstitched material at these places. I prefer Rithika and the Taruni showroom which is located inside General Bazar.

If you are in Abids, check out Dayal's/Meena Bazar(slightly high end) and Sona's Favourite shops(near Surya theater).

Neeru's is also an ok place if you can keep an eye out for the quality of stitching. They have pretty kurtis too. One of their branches is next to Amrutha mall and the other is in Abids.

If this is for the upcoming festival season, you should start shopping now. Tailors get quite busy in the next couple of weeks!!!

Will add to the list if I can think of some more good places :-)
