Maria Sharapova, who had her coming-out party at Wimbledon last year, showed who is the queen of teens, spoiling the first US Open of unseeded debutante Sania Mirza, a budding star from India, 6-2, 6-1, in just 59 minutes

Sania (had) reached thus far by playing fantastic tennis; nobody expected her to reach the Quarters.
The FH people thought that she could take her dream run further and beat that Russian Donkey, as she already had surpassed all expectations.
Going by your logic, they should have put a poll about whether she could get past the qualifiers! Now that would have been insensible!

I am a fan of Sania Mirza, because she is a Maverick, a LONEWOLF (Where art thou, o Brother of mine!) among cricket-heads.

Actually, the thread makes more sense after Sania lost.

*takes a deep breath*
You see, the guy wanted to vote that she'll b out b4 even the quarters and was agitated that he wasn't given that option as they thought she'd at least make it to the quarters. But she didn't and so his making this thread makes sense, maybe there were more people who didn't vote (or voted another option) precisely for the same reason. So the poll wouldn't give a clear picture of the public opinion (and thats what polls are for).
Understood?

Sharjeel I don't know if you follow tennis, but Sania never played qualifier. Her ranking is good enough for a direct entry.
If you would have gone through the US.Open draw carefully, if everything would have gone by rankings, Sania would have faced Alicia Molik in 2nd round who is world No.14 . Now a sensible draw would be with options : -
2nd round
3rd round
4th round
quarterfinals
Quarterfinals should be last option as there is noway she is going to get past sharapova in 4th round. There is no point of having options like title, finals etc when you don't have 4th round in it.

Quarters
Semi finals
Finals

What if I think she will loose in pre-quarter finals. She is playing Sharapova. The chances of her loosing are pretty high. How can anyone eliminate that choice? If I am a tennis enthusiast, that is the first one I would search for. Looking as U.S.Open draw would have given an idea of what to ecpect from the poll. I am disappointed with that poll.
