For students like me who\'ve read reams about the opportunities abroad/the std of living/civic amenities etc, the idea of settling abroad is appealing but I wonder whether I\'ll have the same opinion 10 yrs hence.......

Given the option settling in India is best. Ofcourse here in US, its a great place. lot of amenities, people are friendly. But there is no life here. I am a student here, been here for a couple of years, life sucks here. I would definitely want to come back to the desi-land. I only doubt if I will have the oppurtunity. After finishing a PhD I dont think I will have any job options in India. Only option might be to join the academia, which i dont want to (pay is bad). Lets see, still few more years to go.

hello people..
well this is a work on behalf of the govt. of india...
well culd some one tell me why this craze of goin out of india..don\'t v have good prospects in india too..and why this running away from the country..the govt spends lakhs of rupees on students in colleges like iits and recs, and these people as soon as they get a degree try to fly off to states..shouldn\'t there be an exit tax..if the govt is spending this much on these people doesn\'t it have the right to take back all this money from them when they leave the country and not pay back in form of services..i think there should be a exit tax..the amount should b fixed on how much a person studies india...if the gov has spent on him/her that person has no right not ot pay back to money

I firmly do not advise any one rather suggest any one to settledown in abroad, what ever the country may be, if you are an indian. Here I have justification for my saying.
Basically it is not our country to feel proud about. As a result you are always considered to be an \"IMMIGRANT\". Don\'t you feel uncomfortable ?
Second thing is I would ask all indians not to forget our customs and culture. Inspite of having problems like pollution, corruption etc... it is the country to be live in for obvious resas

alright as far as kulcha has spelt the words he has meant what he has said and it surely makes sense, not that i aint patriotic but for sure if you cant spend a moment of peace what will you do with millions in our pockets. no offence to anyone but i sure feel india will have to get better in a lot of fields before one can say for sure he can settle in india
jai shree ram / jai hind/ god bless america all sure do mean the same
love your neighbour and the soil under ur feet will be india

Thats a good dream my friend. But u have missed a basic point here. Corruption is NOT a petty problem. As long as corruption is there, India is not going to prosper, not in coming 10 years and not in coming 10000000000 years.

Sawagatam Susswagatam

People are crazy, at times are strange. I am locked-in tight, I am out of range.
I used to care, but things have changed.
