Hi ppl..........I must say this one of the best discussion boards i have come accross...highly informative, Helpful and entertaining. The best post i find here is the one with Dialogues in Hyd ishtyle.
I will be going for a short visit to Hyderabad. I wanted to know how often do the traffic police carry out driving licence checks for bikers. The last time i was there the helmet rule was being implemented and i could manage to drive around without a licence. could anyone tell me how is it now... i mean have the checking frequency increased, could i still manage to drive around without a licence.
Cars is no problem as an international licence could be availed. its the two weeler licence which is a problem.
Hope u guys could fill me in on the current situation over there.

checking depends on the mood of the cops and your luck for the day. they do check now and then, but its not regular...
but if u r involved in any traffic offence or a collision, u r done for without a licence.
wtf? i no longer care if my posts hurt yr feelings
Love me or hate me, u cant ignore me

Friends of mine have been riding their bikes
without a license for years now, and are still doing it(of course!!)
Also the area in which you'd be driving matters I guess....like I've seen a lot of "catching-checking" around Paradise and near Necklace road and even near RTC cross roads recently...
But finally I guess it's your kismat which matters the most...

if u have a helmet they wont catch u
they just want to make sure they extract some money out of everyone they catch
so they would prefer catching a person without helmet so that they get atleast the 50 busck
I'm not in favour of Senseless Windows Bashing.
However,I'm all for Bashing Windows Senseless.

But anyway, please respect the law. It is for our own good.

The hydi police will b quite lenient if you follow the rules. So do not jump signals and wear a helmet alwyas. esp. when u r travelling on a main road. Koi kuch nahi bolega
But its always better to b prepared, so carry ur papers with you always.

People are crazy, at times are strange. I am locked-in tight, I am out of range.
I used to care, but things have changed.
