What is the advantage of AIRTEL in Hyderabad and other states in INDIA

Jus Give me the advantages and disadvantages of airtel. If there is any other good service just mention it

ther thread name looks like u r cursing Airtel...

well, Airtel has india'a largest network and is present in most of the states. even in hydbad n surrounding areas the coverage is very good and reliable.

abt Hutch, well, they offer lots of freebies etc and the babes in the Hutch Shops are usually hot, but many areas in the city are not well covered by the network yet. even nation-wide coverage is not as good as Airtel's.

Idea....donno much abt them, but they are not known for 'free offers' and schemes, but i heard ppl say their network is good too.

in CDMA, my mom has a Mobitel and she is happy with it...the roaming is also good in it.

abt Reliance...i heard many compliants as well as generous tareefs...

actually CAD,HBK is a BSNL subscriber..... and thinks its the best.... telll him abt BSNL.... :wink:

Me doesnt have a mobile, but i can give you my frends experiences:

Reliance: good coverage, roaming charges are cheap, good CC,

BSNL: cant beat em if you can stand the non existant customer care. erratic, frustrating and silly coverage (AND if you can get a BSNL number). this is the best bet.

IDEA: Known for their free offers as CAD says. Has been taken over by HUTCH is seems...

Hutch: Solid, but for lack of coverage, and a bit expensive too.

Airtel: Very very good coverage, but is expensive, esp Prepaid.

rumours say that its coverage in city is kept bad purposly coz the persons who matter are bribed by the other private players to avoid competetion coz of lower tariffs.

Ok.Let Me Too Proceed the Way as Others Have.

Airtel:

Pros:Nice Coverage,Seamless Network Access,Good Coverage on the Highways too,Tie-ups with TV Shows,Has KBC2 On its Side

Cons:Erratic & Confusing Tariffs,High SMS Rates,No 'Freebies' as Such,Many Plans & Schemes Makes it Difficult to Choose the Best one,

Irritating Calls & SMS'es from Them Urging you to Buy This or that,May Sell ur details to 3rd Parties,Caller Tunes are Good But Costly.

Idea:

Pros:Okay Sort of Coverage,Attractive Ti-Ups With Telugu Channels for Songs,Tones etc.,

Cons:Difficult to get Signal inside a Building,Particulalrly if you're some distance from a Tower,Pathetic Customer-Care,Not as 'Hyped-up' as Airtel or Hutch.

Hutch:

Pros:Good Coverage in & Around City,Exciting Freebies and Offers with Each One Better than the Previous One,Low Tariffs on Local Calls & SMSes Altough at a Daily Rental,Excellent Customer Service,Nice Add-ons Available.Caller Tunes are Good,First 5 Tunes are FREE,Has Yahoo Messengger & Yahoo Mail Integration Thru SMS as Well as GPRS.

Cons:Roaming Facilities are Not that Good,Coverage on Highways is Poor,No Freebies,No Flexible Plans or Recharge Options.

BSNL:

Pros:Cheapest Rates for Calls & SMSes,Okay Coverage,Free NAtionwide Roaming,No Hidden Costs.

Cons:No 'Bells & Whistles',Does'nt Support many 4-Digit SMSes Like 8888,7333,9090 etc,Network Can be Quite Good One Moment & troublesome the Next,Difficult to Obtain a Connection Going in the 'Proper' Channel :wink:

Reliance:

Pros:CDMA Platform,Relatively congestion-Free at Times,Attractive Bundled Offers & Schemes,Wide Variety of Plans to choose From.

Cons:Handsets are Limited & come at a Premium,Bill-Payments can be a Hassle,Sometimes Non-Existant Charges can turn up,Add-ons are Limited

Tata Indicom:

Pros:CDMA Platform,True-Paid Scheme Gives 1 sec Pulse,Pay as much as you talk,Network Coverage Okay,No Freebies for Some Plans

Cons:Pithy Customer-Service at times,Only a Handful of Handsets available.

N.B:Both Reliance & Tata Indicom have the 'Walky' or FWT (Fixed Wireless Terminal) Offerings and are More-or-less inclined towards Promoting them ahead of their Mobile Offerings.Internet Access is Available on these Platforms.

Though AirTel is expensive.... the network is really grt...and in AP AirTel is the best as far as i am concerned.... BSNL the line is not clear instead it is noisy... AirTel is clear....
