Is the latest power charges hike justified?

It is high time that people understood that government is not an external entity with unlimited cash reserves. The opposition would do good to stop fueling the populist agitation.

Basically, the folks here have got used to using power without having to pay for it, and that is what is causing all the problems. I think that the agitation is wholly uncalled for.

i partly support the hike in power charges but not to the extent of 120% hike at one go.how can a middle class person bear a bill of around 1200/- for two months???

Who\'s behind the agitation? Is it the common folks? It\'s the bloody politicians! Screw them - they\'re after this for their own selfish motives, and are _ bothered about the state of the govt\'s finances.
