DVD Players & other electronic shopping

Am planning to buy a DVD player.

Do all DVD player play VCD's ? Or are some DVD Players

better at playing VCD's than others?



Also planning to buy a TV & a Fridge.

I went to TMC in Begumpet, but they seem to have

a limited stock of TV's only & most of them are Flat Screen. They

don't seem to carry too many non Flat Screen TV's. Likewise with

Fridges they seem to carry only upscale Fridges & have a limited

stock.



Any other place where I can get a better range of TV's & Fridges.

I am in Banjara Hills but can travel further to buy.

well, some imported ones do not play pirated VCDs properly...so better find out frm the dealer b4 purchasing.

there are hardly any non-flat screen TVs in the market. most of them are either Full Flat or Semi-flat. some cheaper local brands might have some old style non-flat TVs, but i am not sure abt it.
btw, why on earth do u want a non-flat TV...? they are technically obsolete too.

Road or S.D.Road in secbad. they usually give discounts without asking and are open to bargains too. i recommend Sona Electronics - adjacent to Belson Tajmahal hotel, off SD Road (or behind Swimming Pool) OR Dignity Electronics on RP Road.

the best way is to cover most of the shops in a road and bargain till u get a decent price. and they all sell fridges etc too.

well i am a secunderabadi so the local shops there came to mind first! the shops in abids must be good too. members frm there mite throw some lite on them.
