how are kaal and xxx2?????

i didnt think much of XXX-1 either...and so never had big expectations of XXX-2...

but XXX-1 was unforgettable for one damn reason........in the middle of the show i was watching at Sangeet, a drunkard suddenly went up in front of the screen, stripped naked, jumped up on the stage and started marching up and down holding his thing and shouting abuses........until 2 theater workers came running and dragged him out.

As with Goddy, I did not watch XXX-1 and will not watch XXX-2. We people do have a sense of taste and will not watch everything that they dish out.

I heard that Kaal's absolute BullShite.......

I recently had the misfortune to have seen "Kaal". And I would advice anyone without sado-machoist tendencies not to see it. Seeing that movie is as painful as self mutilation in the same league as pulling out your hair,single strand at a time. Now for a little review of the "punishment" called "Kaal".



The movie starts with a very patchy introduction of characters, they are just put out in front of you, no background .... nothing. The first few scenes make you realise that this movie is going to be a tough ride.



The next thing that hits you very painfully is the loud background score. I think the director thought useing loud noises and tribal shouts and some chants would make up for the very obvious lack of "scary element" in the story.( i.e., if there was a story in the first place.) The excessive use of the very loud noise (background score) robs the "surprise" from the few sudden superimposed "even louder" noises.



The list of Bad jobs doesnt stop with the Background score, the next on list are the Plot and the Screenplay. In movie such as this which has a very thin plot, the screenplay forms the soul. But here the screenplay is soo bad that it makes you wonder why this movie was attempted in the first place.



The "thriller" element isnt much of a surprise either coz you keep getting hints all along and you would have picked up the clues even otherwise.



Coming to the acting talent on display, everybody knows the action potential of esha deol, lara dutta and vivek oberai. John abraham and Ajay devgan are totally wasted , so are the support cast.



All in all this is one movie one would have to watch if his "kaal" is really bad. Definetly a case of "burra kaal" for me..



I just hope its a good time for others atleast.
