Ever done it ? I can't describe to you the feeling of jumping off a cable car 80 mts above the ground at 7.30 in the evening.
I just have to get this out of my system, so read on if you are free.
There was a queue of some 25 people ahead of me. When my turn finally came I didn't know what to expect. Of course all along I avoided thinking about the fall but its true you don't really know whats in store for you unless you are up there. I was asked to step into a harness. I hopped into a cable car, with the instructor facing me. I gripped the railings real tight when the car began to make its ascent.
Once we got to the the point from where I had to jump, the instructor asked me to turn the other way, let go off the railings and fall, face downwards. The "what the hell was I doing up there" thought crossed my mind when I took in a deep breath and looked at millions of lights around me. I didn't have the guts to fall face downwards and I jumped like you would from a step on the staircase!
Man! I dunno for how long I oscillated coz I had my eyes shut all through but its only when I finally stood up after touching terra firma did it actually sink in that I just raised the bar for myself.
