yesterday nearly 200000 lakh students wrote the exams for a few thousand seats and after which the few thousand engineers would compete for a handful of IT jobs along with tens of thousands of engineers from outside AP. that, or queue up infront of US embassy to beg for a visa and be humiliated by people who cant even multiply 2 and 2.

expect quite many suicides (or suicide attempts) after the results are declared...esp by kids with pig headed parents.

why do so many study engineering...? when would they learn abt reality of life?

i hope more AP girls opt for engineering than boys...they wud atleast hope for discounts on or waiver of dowry...

i hope the doctors have an easier life...dunno much abt their problems...

i apoloigize to the aspirants for painting a bleak picture, but i have made it my life mission to tell people that engineering is not the only career option. there are many more for bright students to succeed.

Okie man... May be wat u r telling is rite... I am also one of the engineering aspirants. Why not suggest me abt the other career options?????

with self confidence and interest, u can succeed anywhere. look around you and try to figure out the career options...do u see all only Engineers around you...?

Finance/Banking, Insurance (the 2 hottest and highest paying), Hotel Management, Event Management, Retail Management, Bio-tech, Multimedia, good ol' BBA followed by MBA, Law. if u have a flair for languages, learn a couple of foreign languages (japanese and chinese are hot now) and u can make a small fortune in transalation/interpretation (coz of globalization, this is an important activity).

if u have the guts, start your own business in anything u like (an include most of the above list) and give jobs to others in future.....

the world has changed from what it was to the previous generation. there are 100s of options now...it just takes some imagination to look around.
