everything in life is a lesson. There is an opportunity to learn from everything. And when you're faced with a hard situation, think about what you can learn from it and how you can benefit from it. Nothing should be totally bad, that's not the way is supposed to be. No one's life is perfect and no one turns out exactly the way they wanted or expected, but life shouldn't be a burden or something that you dread.

You're only young once, so you should enjoy it, and you shouldn't be in such a hurry to grow up. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and everything that you do and all of the decisions that you make, the big ones and the small ones, are all important.

There is such a thing as destiny and fate, but it only takes you so far. You have to help yourself along the way. In life, the end product is certainly important, but it's how you got there that matters the most. No one wants to look back on their life and regret half of the things that they did.

You're going to have to choose between a lot of things in your life. Sometimes it will be an easy choice, sometimes it will be hard. But remember that you're not alone and everyone goes through what you're going through. You'll laugh and you'll cry; you'll get your heart broken at least once, and you'll probably break someone else's heart at least once.

Good things will happen to you and bad things will happen to you, but no matter what, don't let anything or anyone control or drastically change your life. Because it's your life, you're the one who's going to have to live it. And, sometimes, you really can't listen to what anybody else says, you just have to listen inside and follow your heart.

I like to visit the cemetery and look at different tombstones. I like to find out what is the last phrase that people like to put in their tombstones. It always gives me a lot of inspirations.

On day, I walked into a cemetery aimlessly looking at different tombstones. There have a lot of fancy carved stones engraved with famous proverbs. Some have beautiful sculptures, some big and some small.

Suddenly, I saw a tombstone; no fancy carving, no beautiful sculpture, not big, just an ordinary stone. On the stone, it said:

1964 to 1984
Getter Edge

In the middle of the stone, it had a big word carved......"IF" and under this word it said "I have another chance".

I stood there, don't know for how long, looked at the big word "IF" and the little words "I have another chance". A lot of thoughts went though my mind.

I asked myself, "If I have another chance, what will I do?!!"

Friends, if you have another chance, what will you do? Will you treasure the chance that you have or will you wait until your tombstone says:
"IF"
"I have another chance"

It's hard to imagine what one would think about just as one is unexpectedly faced with death; but the thought at that moment determines one's fate.

There is a story in Buddhism: in the past, a person named Gan Daduo committed all manner of crimes. One day while he was walking on a street, he saw that he was about to step on a spider. A kind thought came to him: "A spider is a small life, but why should I kill it?" So he stepped over the spider and avoided killing it.

Since he had done so many bad things, he fell into an endless hell when he died. While he was suffering, a silver thread from a spider fell down from the sky. Feeling as if he had found a boat after falling into the sea, he quickly climbed up the thread with his all strength to escape from the pains of hell. But as he was climbing, he looked down and saw many other sentient beings were also climbing up after him. He was afraid that the fine thread could not stand so much weight and would break, ruining his chance to escape. He kicked down all of the others one after another. But as he was kicking his companions, the spider thread broke, and Gan Daduo and all the sentient beings fell into hell again to suffer in endless misery.

His earlier kind thought had given Gan Daduo a chance to escape from hell; but his bad thought had drawn him back to hell to suffer again. It seems that one thought can determine one's fate. It all depends on whether that thought is good or evil.
