Radio is "Back"...?????

i've been noticing a series of Hoardings in the city since a week that's been claiming that "Radio is Back" from 9th april...

does it mean that an FM channel is starting here? any info abt it?

Yeah,I too had heard.Rock was the first to point it out in the "No FM in Hyd" Thread......

Saw their stall in Prasads, so walked into it to find out.



Summary:

They have a specific tape-recorder kind of an instrument which they call radio. It costs around Rs.3770. Once you buy this, you have to pay around Rs.1200 to listen to that FM channels.

Thats the receiver..its very clear dude..and when you connect the same to a good ampli..its sounds amazing...Don't buy now, the cost will come down to 1000 bucks...just like it happened to cell phones...buy then

my uncle has a worldspace set since last 2 yrs....ands its worth it. the sound quality is amazing, esp when connected to good speakers via an amplifier. u dont need a tv i u have worldspace.



btw, kavita, its not FM...its digital satellite radio. i only wish it cud be fitted inside my car....:(

You can get the BPL version of World Space....a boombox,and fit it on the dashboard. :P

Mebbe uc an Make a Antenna-Helmet and wear it as and when u like to listen a particular station,Jus' move ur head into that direction :wink:
