What R U Afraid...of???

by Ar!e$ » Fri Apr 15, 2005 9:28 pm

Did u knw your fears may be controlling u more than u think..

Its said that some fears are healthy--they are ur body's way of signalling that u might be approaching a dangerous situation..
But while some fears actually benefit you, others, if left unchecked or unrecognized, can do more than negatively impact your psyche. They can actually paralyze you from living the life you want to live. What's worse, you might not even realize it....

so r u a worry wrat? do u avoid changes? do u often feel dat u'l disappoint others? when ur sick.do u.... sometimes worry it could be symptomatic of a serious illness...?

SCARED!

by wisecrack » Fri Apr 15, 2005 9:46 pm

Me scared of Heights. Not that i dont enjoy stuffl like bungee jumping or rock climbing! Its the part where i have to look down to c how far i've come up, that scares me! Then i m scared of huge amounts of water ** not as in a "Swimming Pool!" ** but as in something like the violent waves of Oceans and Rivers. And now with the recent Tsunami disaster,i think it would take me quite sometime to get to the beach. :(
I THINK...THEREFORE I AM.

To be frank, rats. Hate the little rodents (Does that qualify as an insult? :?)
Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

I fear anything that I cannot control, like my emotions, my loved ones, my future, and so on.

Do u avoid changes? do u often feel dat u'l disappoint others?
Thats me! 100%

Me is also somewhat scared of ETs.

Sometimes I think about what it would like to be in a closed room with a half crazed lunatic (like myself). This situation scares the shit out of me...

i'm facinated by madness. i love thinking strange deranged thoughts, and watching myself thinking these thoughts with a sort of closed off space in my brain, judging my weird fantasies like a psychologist. i try to keep the house free of knives and axes and the likes. wanna come over and play?

And San, i'm extremely impressed you're afraid of nothing. were you ever afraid of anything? maybe so, then you faced it or something?

something really eerie happened me on the underground in london once. i ws sitting in a carrage half full of people, and everyone was just staring around randomly. i closed my eyes and everything went quite quiet. I was filled with the sense that when i opened my eyes, everyone on the carrage would be staring at me silently. extremely freaky feeling. would make a good scene from a movie or something

OMG!!! It would make a good scene fer a horror movie.

The nightmares I get? They do not involve ETs or other stuff. Jest some people with big bulging eyes, just staring at me, and it is just like you say. In the dreams I close my eyes, and everything's quiet, and I open them, and they are there, staring at me. Creepy! *shudder*

this is one terrible dream I got (a 3 days after I joined my engineering college.. new place and all)

Long distance from my college, I see some poles with wires. I decide to explore, so I walk through woods and find that to be a railway line. I start walking on the rails and after some time, find a rail station (something like the victoria terminus in bombay.. but much nicer architecture and kinda old worldish..)

I walk inside and it is beautiful !! There is an overbridge to reach the opposite platform, so I climb it. Just in the midway of the bridge, I find a very nice clock. I want to take a closer look at it and then.. see that the hands are not moving. Just underneath the clock, there is a small notice board : Constructed - 1870 Abandoned - 1890

I quickly turn around and .........

then.... find the entire rail station as dark and filled with cobwebs.

Could this be that you find the "nice station" like your old life and the places you used to hang out? You know what they say, the past is always golden and you can never have it back. Maybe the cobwebs are something that - you shouldn't look back and instead look forward now, because you have made the journey. For example, all this takes place in railway station and you "climbed" a bridge to crossover to the other side. And notice how curious that the dates span 20 years. I am guessing you are around that age.

Pretty powerful dream. Nice.

Shar-ji, don't be so morbid this early in the morning.

Daisy girl, you are going to live a ripe old age, with a toothless smile till the end, and close you eyes thinking, damn! that was a good life.

Aries,

Just curious, are you short in height? For some reason, some of my friends who are similiar in height are afraid of stairs...is this a common trait?

I am afraid of gosh, so many things but its exciting at the same time too! Like horror movies and scary rides but I can't stop from viewing the gory stuff and sitting in the front of the ride seat.

More seriously, I am afraid of getting into a car crash because I drive like a Texan :D Can't help it now.
