Is there any use in talking about who is inferior and who is superior. In modern India I dont think one really care which caste a person belongs to whether it to make a friend or for a job or for a marriage.

Exceptions do exist in every case... but that doesnt mean one target a community for something that was written by a person whom no one knows he actually existed.

I feel there can never be equality unless really people stop thinking who is superior.

Such debates on critical issues never lead anywhere and make a mockery of a community.

You are a hypocrite ,you say this and you anser yes to the poll.



Anyway if this is making mockery of community why do brahmins belive in this mockery,why do they bahave like they are superior,and use Hindusim as a means to prove their dominance,I even heard one of thme say that they are Germans ,he said this to a white guy and he was laughing like mad.



If people dont talk about this issues now who will correct this situation,the next generation of kids will face the same treatment from brahmins,this is the time we all get together I kill this upper caste lower caste problem,I dont care about reservation ,I want people to be treated equally,if they are treated equally we dont need reservation,we need reservation for lower castes becuase the upper caste brahmin popele control the top most positions and will not let dalits and other lower castes get a job .Until this mentality is killed we will need reservations.



People like HP and PMOW who are new age brahmin terrorists,its not Illaiah who needs to be killed ,its this brahmin mentality of being superior that needs to be killed.

If you hate Brahmanism & Hinduism why do you want to marry Brahmin girls to dalits given that they r Brahmins n Hindus at large. What I think is u cannot marry some girl unless she accpets u first. I think a person cannot even marry a girl of his own clan unless she accepts him. I think this is a bigger issue. There is no written law that Brahmins shudnt marry dalits. If both the pp r above 18 n 21, law will support u man...go ahead (the girl accepting of course)!!! Coming to the title of the thread you use the word "better"...Come on plz tell me as to what are parameters for being better...And once you fix the parameters itself you can know that this discussion is going nowhere.



There are brahmins who are totally screwed up and there are dalits who hav done well tooo...ultimately it is ur OWN ability which decides ur fate...And remember no one will oppose if a dalit guy/gal becomes a leading light for India and get global recognition for India. Remember we are are just a part of this country and no one is bigger than it (even if they proclaim it for themselves, i dont think others need to care for their words.)



BTW can anyone give the % of Brahmin members in the AP state assembly or in parliament and compare it with the dalit numbers...shud make for an interesting read...

Question 1.



Dont tell me you are a clone or mate of misuse Dowry. After losing on all fronts dont come back telling that you are upto some psych testing.

What do you want to acheive. Do you want all on the board to accept that Dalits are better and not Brahmins.

Question 3.

Even after this is I suspect that you will call for All Brahmins or any name starting with B to be murdered, killed, raped, cluster bombed, mass murdered (talibanish / bush / modi shtyle). Be clear is this what you are trying to acheive. If so we will debate on these lines.

I thought the following steps will be good.

1. Install Dalit priests in major temples according to their percntage in hindu population.

2.Marry Dalit boys and Brahmin Girls ,so that there is balance and no enimity by Brahmins to Dalits.

3.Every rich Brahmin take a responsibility of a poor Dalit child.

However many times I tell you that I disagree with your definition of "Brahmin" and "Dalit". So there's no point in discussing this any further.

I'm a man P_D. If I have to kill someone, I'll do it myself in broad daylight and with bare hands. Quite unlike someone around who threatens a gangrape on a helpless woman because the gang doesn't have the courage to fight her husband fair and square. But, people like Dr.Ilaiah deserve medical care more than a punch from someone like me (Ask people who've seen me in flesh & blood and you'll know that its not a very sweet proposition).



On the subject of being a brahmin, I never claimed that I'm one. According to my definition of the four varnas (which also happens to be the definition as per the Gita), I qualify to be a Vaishya. A good human being, I strive to be - with all my follies and virtues.



And a piece of advice for you P_D - Next time around, make sure you're reading this thread with your english teacher by your side. I'm sure 95% of what's being said here is bouncing high above where your grey matter exists, whatever excuse may be there for it.

Makes me go sick.



When will we break the shackles of the caste system.

Will respect for individuals ever come back in the Indian society.

In this case, looks like even the police (so called protectors of law) were hand in glove.



Every educated individual should start to work in his own community to cleanse it of such evil practices.

Ranchi: In a ghastly act, a 50-year-old woman was paraded naked on the outskirts of the Jharkhand capital after her son eloped with a girl.

According to the police, the incident took place on Tuesday at Baski village, about 55 km from here. The woman was paraded naked after the village elders decided to “punish” her for her son’s conduct.

Sandeep Lohra, the son, was in love with a tribal girl of the village. Finding it difficult to get married, they eloped three days ago.

The girl’s family was opposed to their marriage as they belonged to a different caste. The family launched a search operation but failed to track him down.

The family then summoned a meeting of the panchayat, the village council, which decided that the boy’s family should be “insulted”.

The boy’s mother was then dragged to a ground, her hands were tied and she was stripped and paraded naked for two hours.

No arrests have been made. A few moths ago, a newly-married couple was paraded naked elsewhere in the district. IANS

that sick incident brings to the fore, a peculiar fact: its no use painting brahmins as caste oppressors these days. as it is brahmins are a miniscule % of the population.

if u go to the village level, its the better-off backward castes and non-brahmins who look down on dalits and practice an active caste system, just like the article in DQ's post.
