i'm supposed to take a friend furniture shopping today, anyone know any weird places for furniture? or antique trinkets and the likes.

There are many places in Banjara Hills itself.The thing is that these people change their names very often...so I dunno whether they have the same nam.There is a shop right near Nagarjuna Circle,its opposite to the cemetary.You cant miss it.If my memory serves me right...its Furniture World.

There is one above Pizza Corner,the one opposite MJCET.I think its called Duran.(In my opinion this is the best)

Then there is one in Begumpet,its right beside Gautier Furniture....beside Times of India's old office.They have some really good stuff there but they tried to cheat my dad once.

There is an other one opposite JNTU,Masab Tank.Dont remember the name but you cant miss it.

Or you can take a gamble and goto Nampally Station area......lots of shops there.

A better idea I can give you is this - i hear HP is also going Furniture shopping today, give him a call or something.

I wld. second jasz (tho it may b too late now) nampally is the palce for good furniture.

I saw a furniture shop in Sikh Village, on the way to Diamond Point.

That was pretty big, check that out.



Nampally is good place too - you need to bargain a lot there. I bought lot of stuff for my sis. I had bought a dining table from Modern furniture at Begumpet Circle - on your right while going towards Green park. He has good collection too.

How was the shopping Mark? Find any weird furniture or just places? Thinking about it, those numerous lanes by Charminar would be a good place to trawl through. Any one here familar with old city galli's?
