why dont u go to one of the cheap 200 rs/month gyms? and beat it up with a jog or a swim. well, considering the fact that u are a fitness freak... i am sure u are well trained in handling ur weights and balancing ur cardio. If i were u, i would nt spend 12,000 going there or 25000 going to some other hi tech place, which would all be the same.

Thats a nice suggestion lizardKing. I will b in Hyd for a month. All I need to do is hit the gym abt 4days/week. I am not preparing for any competetion. Any 1 has list of moderate clubs will b welcome. Club located in the center of the city is highly appreciated.

RedCombat I will still check on Talwalkarz n C if that works out for me

Hi Megalomaniac!

You have already gotten suggestions...

Me says: dump the gym, fitness freaks don't need Gyms. Go for a jog/swim and compliment it with a lot of anaerobics and body-weight exercises (sprints, pushups, pullups, crunches...).

Good hunting!

Lol Sharjeel... I don think u know wat u r talkin abt. Body Buildin is a total different sport when compared 2 other athletic games. It is not just attained by runnin for 10km or just doin body wt excercises. It is a combination of Muscle buildin n Reducin Fat. Half of the yr I try 2 gain weight in the form of Muscle n Half of the yr I try to loose wt in the form of fat. U cant just keep on runnin every day and attain good body buildin results. Anyways I better stop it here b 4 I irritate any 1 of u with my body buildin lecture.

isnt that too much effort---atleast 2-3 hours work out a day n all dat? do u have the time?

way back b4 i started working i had indulged in it for a few months...and i cud afford the time too. but once i started working, at max i can devote 45 minits to an hour for exercise daily....and i still do it.

Hey I aint no body builder. I would have been 1 If I started early in my life. neways I don work out more than an hour man. Our body needs rest to develop muscle. If we work out 2-3 hrs all we get is joint injuries. I b'lieve more than 50% of the bodybuildin is diet. Even research says the same. Also depends on individual body n time n practice that they put into it.

Crunches hurt! And they don't work, not for me anywho. :(

Aerobics/run/swim/some weightlifting...but I think swimming is a fuller workout. Have you tried yoga, Megalomaniac?

And reading about parks here: does anyone what that park name is - umm, its a pretty long park, all fenced and all...in Banjara Hills, I believe its 7 kms? I think its close to Big Byte?

As CAD said, dinno that you were interested in Body Bulding. If that is the case, then you have no options but to go to a Gym and pump iron. I still think that it is a waste of time. <- My opinion netirely .

Umm but uska naam kya hain? I know its gated and all too!

Crunches...flatter stomach! Aur kya and plus, the universal feeling every woman has - I am fat! Par I thought I looked bloated everytime I had a coke or something...paranoia perhaps.

I do crunches loads better than pushups. I hated and still do pushups.

Not for me at all. No.

crunches are the best for acquiring a flat n trim stomach. u get the best results with the heels placed at a higher level. and the best way to do it is to breathe deeply and do each set slowly.

dont hate pushups. they are very effective for toning arms, shoulders, deltoids and chest.

a daily schedule of 15 minutes of stretches, a 10 minute jog, three to five sets each of pushups and crunches followed by a 10 minute walk is enuf exercise to keep u fighting fit and healthy. 20-30 minutes of swimming can also be included in place of a jog and about three sets of pushups.

Jasz...no exercise regme wud be of use to u if u go back to packing in calories after a workout! u have to start eating smarter. can u do that?

your first target shud be to knock off the excess "baggage" and then see how to maintain it that way.
