yeh , but given a choice neone wld. choose ahd. over Bangalore...I met a person from Bangalore (during the fees contraversy) and he said that only ppl. Ahmedabad had stood firm to its point. the other IIMs followed later...

But this year it might be different.We can never know until the Ofers come.

But one or two ppl I met Have shown a tendency to chosse Bang.Even

if they have both Ahd & Bang in Hand.



MAybe Stingrae can throw some valuable Light on it.

Haan IIM"s ka Saten badhade toh accha hoga.

It'll be Lotsa prob to Setup a New IIM & raise it to the brand level that

the current IIM's Enjoy.Increasing the Seats in the Prsent IIM"s will be

a better option.But the increase should not be thrust upon them.

Only if they are ready then.....

I too feel the same.

There has to b a way where in the reach of the IIms is increased...either by increasing the Intake or introducing new courses.

Its a tradeoff between quality and quantity. if they wish to reach more ppl. they have to reduce the selection criteria...but they are more inclined towards selecting only the best of the best.

Reducing the Selection Process Strictness would be Compromising on the

Quality of teh Outgoing Batches.If there is a dearth of Quality students,then only this step should be taken.



But with the current Cutoffs,they're losing on a lot of Students who maynot

score well in the cat but are quite talented enuff and nourish high hopes

& Ambitions.



After all,gauging a student's eligibility only with a 2-hour test is better or

not,It is not for me to suggest.But since the process has been time tested.

it should be good.
