so .... I think that we are going to go through with this, guys. Thanks for all the input so far, I would really like some help though since I am not in Hyderabad right now and would like to know what the scene is like over there.

My cousins down there have gone over to frag and junction to check them out and say that Frag is really good, so we shouldn't be anywhere nearby. What do you think about that? I need a good location for this place. They also asked me to put down 'himayatnagar.' Is that a good area?

Also, we can't decide on a good name. We've been toying around with a few, one of the better ones being 'the hideout'. Any suggestions there would really help out too.

Thanks!

Himayat Nagar is a good place but parking place is a big problem.Panjagutta is the perfect place. But the price will be a lot.Look for a good place near B.Hills/Panjagutta.Dont try to keep it on the main road because of the parking place and the cost of the place. You can keep it near Banjara Hills post office ,lots of parking place and its near to the main centres.I think there are many places near the post office.Places like these will get customers by the word of mouth mostly so dont worry keeping it on the main road.

I guess Hideout is a good name but try to keep a name which relates more to gaming.Cant think of anything right now.

So when will it be up and running? :D

Well, with any luck it will be up and in business by the end of March. I have to get my financing finished up with here, but as soon as we find a good place we will start setting everything up. Computers and only 1 or two xboxs at the start, but by the end of march, everything should be in place.

Yea, the places on the main road are pretty expensive, and don't have as much space as I am looking for. Probably something a "block" away from the main roads would be good. Still dont know about that area, my cousins say that if we go into Banjara Hills, that will make it three right next to each other. But we'll see, there don't seeem to be as many places for commercial renting as I had hoped.

Still no luck with a good name.... :? [/quote]

All the best buddy! :)

U shud keep a few things in mind while choosing a location. Your typical client is a child from an upper middle class or a rich family. You shud be present either in the area where they reside or where they hangout or study. That’s why Jubilee Hills-Banjara Hills-Punjagutta-Begumpet belt is the best bet.

If finance is not a constraint, you shud find a place in a mall/commercial complex in that area with sufficient parking facilities (like Lifestyle building for example). U can also think of a tie up with an existing retail chain (like shopper’s stop/central/lifestyle)/fast food outlet/coffee shop etc. that wud take care of space, but u wud have to share profits.

It would be great if u know any relative or friend who has suitable space in the area and leases it to you at a lower rent else you have to have a sufficient buffer to handle the high rental/lease amount.

Forget himayathnagar….parking is hell over there and main roads are very congested.

Location wise the places suggested above sound good.

Try not b too far off from the main road.

U can ask ur friends here to chek out various buildings in there areas...Reliance webworld is located in astral heights punjagutta... there are many around that area...but they will b costly.

As CAD already pointed out,a mall would be a good place. But IMO Shoppers Stop has lost its touch. The best place would be Prasads/Central but the rent would be just too high. :D
