Not that I have anything against the girl, infact I like her game...but this was worse than blasphemy.

I would have agreed with her had she said just that...but she said something altogether different. She said that she was the one who made India's presence felt at Wimbledon, which was wrong. Its like Shahrukh Khan claiming to be the one who showed producers what a hit film is.



And yes...we cannot forever live in history...but we cannot ignore it either. How would you react to Dhanraj Pillay saying that he is India's best ever hockey player? or for that matter how would you react to Sehwag saying that he's the greatest batsman ever to have worn India colours?

The other day there was a headline in the sports coloumn whci quoted sania as saying "I dont want to b a sex symbol, i just want to play tennis..."

Ne one who reads that headline (only) would immediately get a wrong impression of the person.
