Only if you prefer Soth east Asian dishes its a treat,

For the rest its an eye opener.

Man held for selling dog meat

BANGALORE, DHNS:

Jayanagar police arrested a 30-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh and rescued five dogs from his custody. He has been accused of eating dog meat and also supplying it to dhabas on the outskirts of Bangalore.

Acting on a tip-off, the activists of People for Animals (PFA), nabbed the accused, Anand, at Jayanagar 8th Block and handed him over to the police.

In a complaint to the police, Mr Sharath of PFA alleged that the accused was a dog meat eater, who also sold the meat to dhabas. He also alleged that many gangs, mostly from Andhra Pradesh, were engaged in this activity in the City. However, the accused reportedly told the police that he was taking the dogs to sell them.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Zone) Ramasubba said, “He is a labourer and there is no evidence to substantiate the charges that he ate or sold dog meat. We have registered a case under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.”

No...I haven't eaten dog meat yet...but it sounds interesting. I've already tasted some exotic meats like partridges, hares, wild boar, camel and even fox. Dog meat would be a welcome addition.

BTW...has anyone seen the movie King Rat? or read the novel?

Its as 'disgusting' as chicken, lamb meat, beef or pork!

If we dont 'ewwww' at them, then we shouldnt 'ewww' at eating dogs.

Btw, Dog meat is a delicacy in South Korea and heard that it tastes very good.

Besides, I dont think its a crime to eat dogs in India, so they cant charge the poor labourer.

how many of u know that chicken was considered as the dirtiest thing on earth to eat, less than a 1000 years ago.

well, i guess dog meat tastes alright.

but nothing to beat the taste of a good pork ribs.

in the words of Daniel Day-Lewis, it comes closes to the human meat in taste and texture.

same with me. until seven years back I was a vegetarian and hated the thought of eating meat. No one told me not to eat beef or pork (for religious reasons), but still I do not like eating it.... probably because everyone around me used to eat poultry meat or fish, when I was growing up.

Theres no explicit rule stating that it is a crime to eat any meat.

So MM can people turn into Cannibals?

Moreover killing Dogs is a crime punishable under law and also trade of meat of dead animals. SO both ways the labror is stuffed. Incase someone ad ideas to start this business.

I had come to know that some hotels in Hyd are selling stuff made of dead birds hence selling chiken biryani and tandoori chicken hence selling them for cheap. That is why stopped eating food of local hotels and bandis.

Now to dog food being a delicacy, as you consider it to be exotic, others mayfind it ewwww, so both have the rights dude. If you wanna eat go ahead. Eat or bark whatever.......

i think eating a dog is much better than killing an endangered animal.(unless u ve eaten the deer overseas) where hunting is still the main way of gathering food, or if deer is a menace.

Exactly what i mean dude, so if there is no explicit rule that you should not human meat so people should start trying that as well ??

Just a query, unless MM is under the influence of those munis on the banks of Ganges :-P

na man, i dont think i aam as brave as those agoris from the himalayas to get to eat human meat, its more of how brave (not in a positive way) u are than how ethical u are that u can eat human mat.

but personally, i think i am too much of a coward to do it, and just love fellow humans to be a cannibal (unless u are talking about the other eating)

Can you tell what animals reproduce / give birth by laying egss and what animals without them, as in giving babies?

most of the reptiles, birds and amphibians lay eggs, from which the babies hatch

and most of the mammals give birth to young ones

and there are exceptions for both the cases,

like, there are a few snakes which give birth to young ones, and a few mammals which give birth to an embryo (marsupials)

by the way, why this question?

Well cannibalism is a crime, in the sense that you should not kill a person to eat him. I dunno if it is a crime to eat a dead person, but it sure is disgusting.

Anyway, It is not human nature to eat fellow human beings, we do kill, not eat. But it is very much in human nature to eat every other species for survival. So, why differentiate between a dog, pig or cow? If you dont want to eat them, its ok, but why stop others from eating them unless they are extinct species.
