Arey wah 100 post gaye.

BTW i saw the final set. VijaY Amritraj was commenting heavily and shamelssly in favour of Federer. ut i wanted safin to win. He is a cool customer and a fighter to the core. After he lost 5 match points i was a bit skeptical but he pulled it off.

Weldun Safin

Win the tournament 8)

I dont thinks that VA was commenting in favour of Fed. For the first four sets (that i watched), he seemed to be more pleased when Safin would win a point.

Me loves Safin. have been following him on-off ever since he burst onto the tennis scene. His sis also plays in the junior circuit.

Her name? Safina!

in the final set (and i only saw that one) he was like heeping praises on every point federer won. Federer did play very well at times. defesting 5 match points is something!

Marat Safin has taken seven match points - and saved one in a fourth-
set - to send world No.1 Roger Federer out of the Centenary Australian Open in an epic five-set semi-final, winning 5-7 6-4 5-7 7-6 (8-6) 9-7. The
Russian No.4 seed came back from two-sets-to-one down to upset the hot
tournament favourite on Rod Laver Arena, becoming the first man
through to Sunday night's men's final.

Hewitt has a great return, but it'll take much more than just a great return to get past Andy, who's probably playing the best tennis of his career. I see him getting through in 4 sets tomorrow.

Women's - its Davenport v/s Serena. I don't like either, so not interested in who wins or loses.

Men's Final - After today's match, its hard to see Safin lose.

Yeah that was there,I started playing tennis at 7th,according to the coach I should have started since 4th.I was too interested in cricket that time. And I had just too many breaks.I flunked in an exam in 9th and tennis was responsible for that which resulted in a 6 month break and after 10th I joined one of those irritating IIT coaching centres, then dropped out of that in 12 and started playing tennis again. After that the US thing came up and now I play tennis every 2-3 weeks.

BTW Sania used to come to the same coaching centre I go to. :D

Serena Takes the Title

No.7 seed Serena Williams has rallied from a one-set deficit, and a lower

back injury that troubled her early, to beat No.1 seed and fellow

American Lindsay Davenport and claim her second Daphne Akhurst

Memorial Cup as Australian Open women's champion, winning 2-6 6-3 6-0.

Davenport Left to Lament

World No.1 Lindsay Davenport was left to lament one that got away on

Saturday afternoon, when she claimed the first set in the women's final of

Australian Open 2005 against Serena Williams but couldn't complete her

second Melbourne Park triumph.

A Classic Final Awaits

The historic men's final at the Centenary Australian Open - to be played

at night for the first time - promises to be a classic, featuring two

compelling storylines. After a stunning second week at Australian Open

2005, an epic final between two worthy winners - Lleyton Hewitt and

Marat Safin - is what awaits.

Doubles Triumph for Zimbabwean Duo

Zimbabwe's Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett have taken out the men's

doubles title at the Centenary Australian Open after defeating American

twins Bob and Mike Bryan in straight sets on Day 13 at Melbourne Park.

The No.5 seeded team broke their opponents once in each set to win 6-4

6-4.

Me all For SAFIN to win the Title on Sunday....

I feel sad for Davenport.

She has played on almost all the days of the grand slam. she musta been tired. On the other Hand serena got decent breaks in between her matches.

Marat Safin is the Australian Open 2005 Champion

Marat Safin Beat Lleyton Hewitt in a Thrilling encounter which lasted for

More that 2 Hours. The First Set was Comfortably won by Hewitt with

some booming serves and delectable groundstrokes and took the set

6-1.But Safin upped his game in the next set and from then on it was

all one-way-traffic.Safin was on Song and there was no stopping Him.

He Broke Hewitt's serve in the ensuing three sets to take the game

1-6,6-3,6-4,6-4.

I saw the Match and must say that Safin Really was Confidence Personified.

Hewitt meanwhile looked jaded and dazed and had no clue to Safin's

Backhands down the line.Maybe he was tired after two Five Setters

(Against Nadal n Nalbandian) and a Four-setter against _.
