Success depends upon using it wisely - - by planning and setting priorities. Time is worth more than money, and by killing time, we are killing our own chances of success.

One of these days is yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed. We cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone!!

The other day we should not worry about is tomorrow, with its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and poor performance. Tomorrow is beyond our immediate control. Tomorrow’s sun will rise, whether in splendor or behind a mask of clouds. But it will rise. Until it does we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.

This leaves only one day: today.

Any man can fight the battles of just one day. It is when you and I add the burdens of two awful eternities – yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down.

It is not necessarily the experience of today that disturbs one’s peace of mind. It is oftentime the bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring. Let us therefore live one day at a time.

Life itself isn't hard but the lives we create for ourselves are. Remember that the next time you make a decision that will alter something you are used to. Don't take what you have created for granted, because the next thing you know, it'll crumble to pieces...... right before your eyes, and there won't be a thing you can do to stop it.

Everything that happens in your life, whether you knew about it or not, was predetermined by a choice you made earlier on. We start our life on this one road, the main road, and at the very beginning we make a decision. Some go to the left, some go to the right. Others just keep going.

But every person goes in a different direction. Paths collide, and paths split. And there comes a time in everyone's journey, when you come to a fork in the road. Do you take the left, or the right? There is no straight forward. Which one do you choose? How do you know that the path you will end up choosing will take you to the right place??

Choose the road that will best lead you to your final destination. Don't take for granted the time you have as a youth to prepare yourself for the real world, because what you learn now about life, will help you when you meet reality for the first time.

No matter what people say, no matter what you may think sometimes, never doubt yourself. If you believe in yourself you will succeed far more than you will fail. He who possesses a quiet kind of faith in his ability to perform a task already has the task half completed.

Believe in yourself despite setbacks, despite the seemingly immovable obstacles, despite the cold and dark, despite the woe and pain, and eventually your faith will come to fruition, and you will find all those troubles behind you.

The simplest thing in the world is to deride ourselves because we made a mistake, to give up and say, "I'm no good", but the more difficult thing is to believe in ourselves and constructively continue our life. The greatest error in life is to downgrade ourselves. The most horrible tragedies in life have occurred from a lack of faith in one's own self, one's own ability, from a belief that one cannot succeed, but that failure is their sole lot in life.

There seems to be a self uncertainty that builds up in the mind every time one makes a mistake or fails to accomplish a task, and with every successive blunder the uncertainty grows stronger until one doubts one's ability to do anything right. Being human we are host to a number of frailties, each one of which disturbs and depresses us, and makes us doubt our worth. We are not a mechanically precise machine, we are a bundle of nerves which often tangle and get jangled, but are capable of amazing performance.

We have more strength than we believe, there is more fight within us than we know, and far more potential than we could ever call forth or even dream of being possible.

Your courage and belief in yourself will be tested many, many times in your life. How you will react is up to you. Do you believe in yourself? Have you been able to overcome adversity before? Do you have the necessary tools to help you through the difficulty?

If you answered yes, then you have it in you to do it over and over again - each time you get knocked down. Most of us have been knocked hard, more than once, more than twice. With the proper tools, we didn't let it wreck our life or our image of ourselves. We thought, "Okay, there is some lesson here I need to learn", and moved forward again.

We were the lucky ones. We had that belief that we could do anything; be anything, and go anywhere we wanted and had the tools ready when we needed them. We weren't afraid of the unknown - we knew that sometimes we'd falter, but that's how we learned.

For those who couldn't pick themselves back up - there's hope. You can do it too - it will take time, commitment, action and determination. You will need to surround yourself with tools that can help you break through your barriers. Like a mechanic, we all need tools to help us refine their skills for dealing with disappointment, hurt, anger and grief.

Tools can come in many forms - written material, recorded material, images, and of course, people. You will have to try many, usually, before you find the right combination. But once you do, look out! All of a sudden the light bulb will go off in your head and you will think, "I get it, I understand what I have to do to move forward".

Do something nice for yourself today - take a minute to reflect on what you want to happen and then start looking for the tools that will help you complete your plan.

One day a boy of about 16 years of age named Kyle was walking home from school. He was carrying many books and other items and was seemingly have a lot of trouble making it.

Eventually, he tripped, and all the books and items fell from his arms. At that moment a young man named Will saw him from the other side of the road and walked over to see if there was anything he could do. He helped the boy pick up his things and carry them home.

In the next three months, him and the boy became very close. And then on the last day of school, Will found a note in his locker. It read:

Will,
You don't know this, but on that day three months ago, I had just cleaned out my locker. I was going to commit suicide. I thought no one cared about me. However, when you came over, I realized that someone did. So you see Will, when you picked up my books, you really picked up my life. Thank You,

Many living things need each other to survive. If you have ever seen a Colorado aspen tree, you may have noticed that it does not grow alone. Aspens are found in clusters, or groves.

The reason is that the aspen sends up new shoots from the roots. In a small grove, all of the trees may actually be connected by their roots!

Giant California redwood trees may tower 300 feet into the sky. It would seem that they would require extremely deep roots to anchor them against strong winds. But we're told that their roots are actually quite shallow -- in order to capture as much surface water as possible. And they spread in all directions, intertwining with other redwoods.

Locked together in this way, all the trees support each other in wind and storms. Like the aspen, they never stand-alone. They need one another to survive.

People, too, are connected by a system of roots. We are born to family and learn early to make friends. We are not meant to survive long without others.

And like the redwood, we need to hold one another up. When pounded by the sometimes vicious storms of life, we need others to support and sustain us.

Have you been going it alone? Maybe it's time to let someone else help hold you up for a while. Or perhaps someone needs to hang on to you.

This is how I want to live it. It may not be how I live, but it is the way I want to live. I want to live my life in such a way that it will be remembered. I want to leave an impression on everyone I come in contact with.

I want to live as Thoreau said, "to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and spartan like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to it's lowest terms."

I want to be open and honest with everyone, to be remembered by my actions. I want to lead my life in such a way that I can be respected. I want to live my life so I can be an example for others. I want to aspire for greatness but never be famous. I want to live sure of myself. If I doubt myself, others will too. I want to live my life in such a way so that in the future I won't regret my past.

I want to believe in myself. I want to capture the strength I have deep inside. I want to believe in tomorrow and what it might bring. I want to be able to trust and in turn be trusted.

I want to begin every day thinking this is the beginning of a new day. I can waste it or use it for good. What I do today is important because I am using a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever leaving in its place, something I traded for it.

I want to be a friend to everyone. I want to always have a dream. I want to be remembered for the good I did in my life. People won't remember what I said, people won't remember what I did, but they will always remember how I made them feel.
