I do possess a driving Licence from Bihar.

I applied for a two wheeler license, got it delivered at my door steps and I got a bonus 4 wheeler license (as a good will gesture by the RTO) !!

(BTW, I am not a Bihari)

Sujatha, if you are really serious aboout visiting Bihar, don't worry too mcuh about it. The place is as safe as any other place in the country. It just gets much more publicity. That is all. That does not mean that you let your guard down. Take all the safety precautions you would take in any city not known to you, and you would be alright.

Oops! My apologies. That was a mistake (or say humanly laziness) that I didn't check before I posted. Actually this post was meant for my own thread which is related to these stuff.

But Still, thanks for the advice. Will be careful from now on ;-)

I agree with lucifer. Bihar is not as bad as its made out to be from the safety point of view. You do have robberies and crime there and its the highest in the coutry, but personal safety is not worse than that is in Hyderabad. Infact, from my few visits to Bihar I can say that women are more safe there than they are in Hyderabad. I dunno if its true for the interior parts as I have only been to the coal belt.

Really CAD, you should have read what Mayavi and I had to say before making that post. From what you have said, it appears that you have never been to Bihar, and have formed your opinion solely on the basis of what you watch on the news. Tch tch...

PS: Being a GOD does not mean that you get to say anything!

Just enjoy these guys and don't take it personally.
