Strutting Myself in a Bikini.....................

by SimarikSmokin » Sun Jan 09, 2005 7:37 am

Hi wow i know its been long but i have been busy with some personal stuff, and also just plain tired with work and just being lazy u know what i mean like you don't feel lazy.

Anyways i was watching Dhoom, Dhoom the song the album song on zee tv and i was just like what are the Girl wearing they are literally naked in barely anything covering. Do the Indians in india think that Americans realy wear Bikini on the streets and its all party all the time, and drive fast cars like Porsches and Jags???

I mean seriously the directors need to be more realistic. And in Dum one songs is Babu Gi that girls is doing dances like a stripper would its just gross, like i don't want to see all that boucing up and down on the pole ewwwwww. I mean The movies need ratings #1, They need to tone down the slang words like Dude and Cool.

They need to stop making movies about Rape and What a man and a women do in the bedroom ( you know what i mean i don't want to say it  I just don't think about that). And they need to cover themselves with proper indian clothing i mean what example are you giving the kids you watch the movie. And they need to stop showing kissing scenes and stop the vulgar language.

Well this is bascially what my topic is about so what are you opinions? and please dont spam. Or don't make me all flustered.

There you are :)! Been missing you so much. :(

As far as the movie thingy is concerned, the director will only make songs which will become popular. He will not make songs/movies which will not be 'appreciated' by the front benchers (<- Very important people!).

The vulgar dances, cosumes and bedroom scenes are basically present to ensure box-office success.

If you want realism, parallel cinema is where you'll find satisfaction.

dunno...they just believe what americans tell them abt american life thru TV shows n movies
SimarikSmokin wrote:I mean seriously the directors need to be more realistic. And in Dum one songs is Babu Gi that girls is doing dances like a stripper would its just gross, like i don't want to see all that boucing up and down on the pole ewwwwww.
its ok if Demi Moore does it in Strip Tease? abt realism, do u think hollywood producers make realistic movies? movies are abt entertainment and there is not much entertainment in realism.
SimarikSmokin wrote:They need to tone down the slang words like Dude and Cool.
thats a cool idea!
SimarikSmokin wrote:They need to stop making movies about Rape and What a man and a women do in the bedroom ( you know what i mean i don't want to say it  I just don't think about that).
why? doent rape happen in real world? u were just talking abt realism in films. and abt sex scenes...whats wrong with them? these films do get an "Adults Only" certificate....there is a limit to how much one can enjoy syrupy sick family dramas  i prefer a Murder or a Julie to a Veer Zaara anyday.
SimarikSmokin wrote:And they need to cover themselves with proper indian clothing i mean what example are you giving the kids you watch the movie. And they need to stop showing kissing scenes and stop the vulgar language.
sorry to burst yr bubble, but it wud surprise u to know that people do kiss and have sex in india (the population didnt come out of thin air), western clothes are very common and every indian language has a gr8 vocabulary of vulgar words. i think u've been out of India too long...come here next month n we'll dispell yr notions ;)

Well as famously already said, its sex or sharukh thats sells...and why not? Agreed that some of the movies, music videos and even game shows on Tv have have gone over board. But then this is a very big industry in India and it has the maximum absorption of working women. And moreover a lot of women these days, besides men are very keen to boldly and openly discuss issues relating to sex and their preferences..so if films are showing bed room scenes and kissing it not just despo men going to those tucked away theatres who are watching them these days..its the upwardly mobile men and women who are openly and willingly watching these movies in metro.plexes and every theater in every corner. About the impression that US is al about bikinis and bras, I think most of the vulgar dance sequences shown in southern movies do not reflect what really happens in everyday life either. Films are about fantasy and entertainment..to each his own...of course for the serious movie lover..there is parallel cinema..as one of our friends mentioned. Societies take ages to mature and all this will become commonplace sooner or later..something openly accepted or rejected..but all long as the trend is there people have the right to make hay while the sun shines. Also today the world is very transaparent and what happens in the US or India is openly discussed and interpreted across borders and obviously the lure of showbiz is not easy to resist.

Aww My lilttle Cuddle Peaches (Sharjeel)

Well not all the times the directors need a box office hit as long as they put their mind to it and do it i think they can make a better movie that stupid movies about whores and hoes and prostitutes. no offence to chandini bar i give my 4 thumbs to it ( i ony have 2 by the way) that was the best movie because it was realistic she didn't give a talent less performance she didn't need to make out with anyone.

Take 'Jhankaar Beats' for example - its not a commercial movie - that's one of my favorite movies - it's entertaining in each and every scene.

Each and every character in this movie couldn't have been any better.

Movies are made to make them saleable. The is heavy capital that is being invested in making them. No makes a movie for themselves. Its made for the masses. That is from where the financial inflow is.

Coming to reality, How could one even imagine "STAR WARS" the stupidiest movies of all time from my poinf view. Movies are made for pure entertainment. They needed to be talked off whether good or bad, either way the movie sells. Ppl like me sometime watch the movie to know how bad it is. I know sounds stupid but life me thoda off beat rehna chahiyeee
