Young Blood
We are all heard cribbing about the political system in India where the bellies of the politicians get larger and the common man suffers. Do you think that if the youth was allowed (eligible age for an MLA is 35), to enter into politics, there coulb be some changes? Or it will back-fire?
Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

anyone above 25 can stand for office in India (thats why varun gandhi cudn't fight the last elections, he's 22)
below 25, i dunno if that wud work out. running a country is not same as being a head boy/girl in school or head of the college student union

I agree with CAD.
Anyone just cannot get up and say that he wants to become a social servant (politician). He first has to go to the people and get versed with their problems and their mentality.
It would also require a kind of maturity and patience that adolescents cannot have. Talking with drunkards, jailbirds; manipulating people to your own way; dealing with obsessive mediapersons; these kinds of things one only gains through experience.

I think the entry should not b based on age. if there is some one who can do all that sherry has mentioned when he is younger than the legal age why not allow him to go ahead?
like we groom people with exceptional artistic or sporting skills at a young age we can also groom people with gr8 interpersonal skills to become leaders......

There is no euphemistic way of saying this. Get a life, people! Is par bahut bahas ho chuki hai. Kuch karna hai to karo par baatein mat banaao.
